Pokemon GO Confirms April Community Day Pokemon and Bonuses

Pokemon GO has confirmed that Tinkatink will be the focus of April Community Day, featuring a new Charged Attack. Pokemon GO has been releasing a ton of major events in recent weeks. In early March, the AR game launched its Memories in Motion season to commemorate its 10th anniversary. The season is expected to debut several Pokemon and it has already confirmed the dates of all its Community Days. The next event of this nature is scheduled for April 11.

Shortly after Scorbunny’s event ended, Pokemon GO teased its next Community Day with an eight-second-long video. The teaser featured a cave with glowing gemstones and the sound of hammering in the background. While the developers did not share any more details, many fans speculated that the game hinted at Tinkatink, the Gen 9 Pokemon known for carrying a hammer around. Moreover, the creature was part of the Memories in Motion season trailer, so fans expected it to make a comeback in a future event. It seems players’ hunches were on the right track, as Pokemon GO has unveiled how Tinkatink’s special day will unfold.

Pokemon GO‘s next Community Day will star Tinkatink, the Fairy-Steel dual-type Pokemon from Paldea. The event will go live on Saturday, April 11, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During the event, Tinkatink will spawn more frequently in the wild, with chances of it being shiny or having a special background. Additionally, Tinkatink’s Community Day will debut the Charged Attack Gigaton Hammer. To get a Tinkaton with Gigaton Hammer, players will have to evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton between the start of the event until 9:00 PM. It is worth noting that fully evolving Tinkatink in Pokemon GO requires up to 125 Candy. To help players evolve their Tinkatink, the game will grant double Candy from catching Pokemon during Community Day hours.

Other bonuses for the event include 3x Stardust from catching Pokemon, and Incense will last three hours. Players Level 31 or more have double the chance to get Candy XL from catches. Furthermore, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Lure Modules will last one hour and attract Tinkatink more frequently. This will give fans more hours to hunt for Tinkatink copies with a higher chance of being shiny or with a limited background. Finally, trades will cost half as much Stardust, and players can do an extra trade for the day until 9:00 PM. Getting Tinkatink in Pokemon GO is no easy feat, since it primarily hatches from 10km Eggs. For this reason, Tinkatink’s Community Day will be a great opportunity for players who still haven’t encountered it.

Due to its adorable design, Tinkatink is a very popular Gen 9 creature considered among the best Steel-type Pokemon by many fans. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Gigaton Hammer move is exclusive to Tinkatink’s final evolution, Tinkaton. It seems this will also be the case for Pokemon GO, and there’s a chance that the Charged Attack won’t make a comeback in the near future. Tinkatink’s Community Day will also be players’ best chance to collect its shiny version, since these events tend to increase shiny odds to 1-in-20 to 25.

With Memories in Motion only starting, more exciting events are set to launch through June 2, when the season wraps up. For example, March 28 will mark the long-awaited Pokemon GO debut of Gigantamax Pikachu. On the other hand, the game recently debuted Blipbug and its evolution line. Players can catch Blipbug through the limited GO Pass until March 23. More Pokemon are expected to debut in the coming months, such as Flittle and Espathra.
