“A Tiny Change for a Huge QoL Improvement” Helldivers 2 Players Would Sell Their Souls for a New Pinging Option

“A Tiny Change for a Huge QoL Improvement” Helldivers 2 Players Would Sell Their Souls for a New Pinging Option

The players have pretty much unanimously agreed that one small adjustment could be a game-changer. Have you ever wasted minutes of gameplay waiting for a teammate to help you open a bunker, just to be blatantly ignored? Well, the Helldivers 2 community feels that introducing a new pinging option could solve this annoying issue.

Helldivers Claim There Needs to Be a New Pinging Option for Bunkers

Let’s face it, we’ve all been there. Your team has split up in the chaos of a battle, or everyone went their separate way to complete the Objectives as fast as possible. Either way, you end up alone, exploring. You stumble upon a bunker, but you need another set of hands to open it.

You ping the location, but no one really cares, as you could be pinging literally anything. Maybe you even spam the chat. Then, you just stand there and wait for someone to come. After a while, you realize no one is coming, and you leave.

Well, one player, Nekrolysis, is tired of going through this over and over again. So, this player came up with a brilliant yet simple idea. They suggested: “Pinging Bunker Buttons should call out ‘BUNKER!’ with a special icon”.

The Helldivers 2 Community Wholeheartedly Supports the Idea

Players don’t ignore your calls or the chat on purpose. The Second Galactic War is just too chaotic sometimes, so the majority of players just miss all the calls for help. However, a special alert for a bunker might get their attention. Thus, the entire Helldivers 2 community is all for a “Bunker” pinging option.

Furthermore, some players added their own twists to this idea. One player, superwawa20, noted: “I would go a step further, the map icon should be different as well, not just the regular POI symbol”.

Other players suggested special Stratagems, or even Guard Dogs gaining the ability to help out. Still, our favorite idea might be for the rumored SEAF Stratagem, or rather SEAF soldier, to be able to help. We’ve been rooting for this one ever since SEAF troops joined us during the Battle for Super Earth.

So, hopefully, the devs will deliver! Obviously, they are working on so many things, like new enemies, and maybe even a storyline including New Super Earth, but this seems like quite a small change that could massively improve QoL.

Now, while we wait for the devs, we can’t forget to fulfil our duty! The region lock has been lifted, so you can expect plenty of new Helldivers. Maybe we can complete the Major Order together? Meet us on Alta V. For Liberty and Super Earth.
