All Backpack Bag Upgrades in Starsand Island

During your adventures across Starsand Island, you’ll encounter or discover new and unique items that could be of value in your journey. Whether it’s an important resource or something shiny, like Iron Ore, once collected, it will be added to your backpack, which you can access anytime.

However, you will find out that you will quickly fill out all the inventory slots within your backpack, but there’s a way to solve this. So, for our fellow adventurers and hoarders, we’ve explained how to expand your backpack so that you can continue collecting items and resources in Starsand Island.

How to Expand the Backpack in Starsand Island

Unlocking All Bag Upgrades in Starsand Island

When arriving in Starsand Island at the start of the game, you’ll immediately have access to a backpack that you can hold and carry multiple unique items regardless of quantity. However, if you use up every inventory slot in your backpack, including the two hotbar rows, you may want to consider selling items or crafting Storage Boxes for additional space.

Every bag expansion will have specific upgrade costs to gain an extra five slots.

But when you’re on the move, whether you’re traveling on foot, on a skateboard, or using a vehicle, you will needspace in your backpack. To expand your backpack, open the Bag submenu by pressing the “B” key. At the bottom-left corner, you’ll see an option to expand.

Click on the “Expand” button onscreen, where a pop-up menu will appear, and you’ll be presented with an option to exchange items for a bag upgrade. Choosing to opt in will allow you to add five additional slots at the cost of five Fiber, five Softwood, and five Stones for the first bag upgrade.

You can get a maximum of eight bag upgrades in total, each requiring specific resources, which will be displayed on-screen. While we have yet to unlock all the bag upgrades, we will update this page with all items and resources required to unlock them all in the table below for Starsand Island:
