All endings in AI Limit and how to unlock them

As you explore the wastelands in the boots of Arrisa, you’ll come across different questlines in AI Limit. How you tackle them will end up influencing the story’s ultimate outcome, and this guide will brief you about all three endings of the game.

How to get AI Limit Ending 1: The End of Childhood

The End of Childhood can be considered the normal ending for your campaign, and most players will finish on this one. To trigger this ending, you’ll have to complete the following steps.

• Leave Delpha’s questline unfinished by failing to obtain the Azure Branch.
• To do so, speak with Loskid once she is defeated.
• She will give you the Golden Branch key item once her dialog choices are over.
• This automatically locks you from completing the quests related to the other endings.
• Go to the final area and defeat Aether.

How to get AI Limit Ending 2: Boundless Stars

This is essentially the “good” ending, but you’ll have to make many correct decisions. The pursuit begins when you obtain the Azure Branch before speaking with Loskid. This completes Delpha’s storyline and locks out The End of Childhood ending. From here on, you can choose between two endings (this one and Second Dawn). Let’s first take a look at how to complete Delpha’s questline.

• Find the seven soil samples in the main area. This process is required to get Purified Soil.
• Defeat Ursula, the Mutated, to obtain the Living Seed item.

Ursula is a hidden boss at the Outer-Wall Ruins – Ancient Machine Works. Take the long walkway from Assembly Hall over the pit. A large robot is present at this location. Reach the end of the walkway opposite the door near the robot. Look down, and you’ll find an item on a pipe.

Jump down on the first pipe and continue downward. You’ll need to heal in between your jumps. Continue on the path, defeat Ursula, and then speak with her to receive the Living Seed.

• Your next task is to go back to Delpha to get the Arboretum Soil. Then, get the seed planted at the Branch, which will get you the Azure Branch item.
• The next part takes you to the Courtyard of the Tree area in Sewer Town. This region falls under the part of Millaire’s questline, and it’s hidden from plain sight.
• Go to Sewer Town – Center and take the Central Station Branch. Continue along the main path until you come across a hole.
• Drop down onto the floor and keep moving along the subway car path.
• Reach the Underground Shaft Branch, and take the path that drops down to the bottom. Here, you’ll find the Gate of the Tree Branch.
• Interact with the Memory, and you’ll get Seal of the Tree.

Go back to the Temporary Campsite, speak with Millaire, and give her the Seal of the Tree. She will give you a new location. Go to the Gate of the Tree, and she will open the door that allows you to access the Guardians of the Tree hidden boss.

Reach the far ledge in this area and jump toward the tree in the distance (after defeating the hidden boss). After reaching the Courtyard of the Tree area, repair the Branch and go upstairs to speak with Charon.

Once all this is done, return to Loskid and obtain the Golden Branch. Return to Central Garden Branch and go upstairs to find a pool. Interact with the pool to reach Elysium, defeat Aether, and you’ll get a dialogue choice. Select “Accept the Invitation” to trigger the Boundless Stars ending.

How to get AI Limit Ending 3: Second Dawn

The steps to trigger Second Dawn is almost the same as Boundless Stars, but there’s one extra step: complete Shirley’s questline.

• Speak with Delpha after completing Shirley’s questline. You’ll get the Azure Branch from Delpha and speak with him again to get Nameless Flower.
• Go to Shirley’s final spot. To get to the spot, go to the Path of Epitome Branch from Hagios Patir – Upper Level.
• Speak with Shirley and give her the Nameless Flower.

The remaining steps are the same as mentioned in Boundless Stars, as you speak with Loskid to get the Golden Branch. Take the pool to reach Elysium and defeat Aether. You’ll get two choices where you’ll have to select “Decline the Invitation.” Choosing to Accept the Invitation will trigger Boundless Stars.
