The gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 is now on for gamers worldwide, and this blog will help you stay on top of all the major (and minor) announcements.
As usual, plenty of amazing announcements have been made in Germany, giving us an early glimpse of what is coming to the world of gaming over the next year. This live blog will help you stay on top of all the announcements.

PEAK
Co-op survival title PEAK has become one of the biggest indie successes of 2025 as the game has sold over 10 million copies (as announced at ONL).
Hollow Knight Silksong
Silksong is real, and visitors at gamescom will be able to try out an exclusive demo in Germany. We will also have more gameplay footage from the game in the days to come. A release date is yet to be announced as of writing, but it’s coming some time later in 2025.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7
We saw a major trailer for the next Call of Duty title in the form of Black Ops 7. Set in 2035, the upcoming adventure will be taking all of us on a futuristic ride. Expect to duel different weapons across global regions like Los Angeles, Nicaragua, Alaska, and more.
The game is currently available on pre-order, and you can secure a Reznov Challenge Pack with your copy. Call of Duty Black Ops 7 will be released globally on November 14.
The game’s campaign will have co-op for those of you who want to play together. The full story will be enjoyable co-op with up to four players in the same lobby.
Lords of the Fallen 2
The sequel to the original Lords of The Fallen has been announced, and it’s coming later in 2026. The sequel is set 100 years later from the timeline of the first title, and you can wishlist it now.
Sekiro anime
The next announcement isn’t directly about a video game, but closely related to one. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been adapted to an anime series. Titled Sekiro: No Defeat, the anime will be available exclusively on Crunchyroll.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Night
A new Lego Batman game is coming to multiple platforms in 2026, and it’s available for wishlisting by fans. You can also directly play the game if you’re among the ones visiting gamescom. The game is going to take players on a definitive Batman adventure where you’ll be able to step into the boots of Bruce Wayne.
From the Batman’s origin to how he becomes the Dark Knight, you’ll experience it all inside the game. The trailer also showcased gameplay footage and a lot of emphasis seems to have been put on the combat. You’ll be able to experience different difficulty levels, and you can recruit allies on your journey to help your cause.
Warhammer Dawn of War 4
A new Dawn of War game is in development, and ONL showed some of the gameplay we can expect. Set after two centuries since the last great war, Dawn of War 4 is coming to PC in 2026. Expect to experience four different factions and grind through 70 different missions.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Title Update 3 is coming to the latest Monster Hunter title in late September, but there’s more. The popular monster-slaying adventure is getting an exclusive collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV. The collaboration should be similar to the one we had in Monster Hunter World, and more information will revealed in the near future.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
We got to see mor gameplay footage from Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and the game is coming to PC and consoles in 2026.
Arknights Endfield
A new Arknights game has been announced for PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
After a couple of minor announcements, we have a fresh announcements about Fallout Season 2, which returns to Amazon Prime.
Fallout Season Two
The second season will be a direct continuation of the first season, and feature places and locations from several Fallout titles. Season two, in words of Ella Purnell’s words, will be about how much Lucy and the ghoul will be influenced by one another.
The new season is coming to Amazon Prime at the end of this year on Dec. 17.
Deadpool VR
We have a new trailer for Deadpool VR, along with the upcoming title’s launch date. The new trailer revealed a few villains like Red Omega, Ultron, and more.
World of Tanks 2.0
The major update, set to be largest in the game’s history, is set to launch in early September.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando
Saber Interactive is back with another FPS title featuring zombies and plenty of gun-tastic action.
