All Prologue Points of No Return
Wrenwood Hotel (Grace)
Wrenwood Hotel is an extremely short prologue for Grace, but it’s not without its files to collect. In Wrenwood, players can expect to enter a point of no return once they enter Room 204 and inspect the bed that’s covered in photos. Players can enter Room 204, but if they inspect the bed, they will be forced to progress to the next section.
Rhodes Hill (Leon)
Leon’s prologue is just as short as Grace’s was in the Wrenwood Hotel. Leon will reach the point of no return once he crosses the highway in Rhodes Hill, which is filled with zombies. There’s not really much for Leon to do here other than learn the combat, so feel free to proceed.
All Care Center / Rhodes Hill Points of No Return
Care Center Room 203 (Grace)
When Grace first arrives at the Care Center, she will have to find her way out into the larger Main Hall. This area is extremely hall, and has an encounter with the Girl. The area forces you to progress once you place the Fuse into Room 201, so be ready to run to safety when you do.
Care Center (Leon Part 1)
Leon’s first segment of the Care Center is extremely short and ends once he progresses through the Rehabilitation Ward. This area is pretty small and contains your first Mr. Raccoon Memoriam, so be sure to shoot it after killing the enemies in the area to progress safely.
Care Center (Leon Part 2)
Leon gets full access to the Care Center after Grace enters the Basement. This section begins in the Attic, and forces Leon to fight a Chunk enemy. After, he can venture down the ladder and go around the Care Center, clearing it of enemies so that when Grace returns, she can explore freely. Once players enter the Director’s Office and enter the elevator, Leon’s section of the Care Center will end.
Care Center Basement (Grace)
After obtaining the Moon Quartz with Emily in the East Wing via the ID Wristband (Level 2), Grace will be forced to jump into the Basement. The Basement has a bunch of collectibles as you search for 3 Joint Plugs. The point of no return for the Basement is when you place all 3 Joint Plugs to the east of the Holding Cells, which forces you to escape with Emily back to the Care Center.
Care Center (Grace)
Now that you’ve returned to the Care Center after the Basement, you’re free to explore until you place the 3 Quarts Boxes into the door north of the Main Hall. If you exit the Care Center and head into the Courtyard at the Helipad, you will be unable to return inside.
Care Center Courtyard & Research Facility (Grace)
After entering the VIP Suite and solving the wine bottle puzzle, you will enter the Research Facility. There’s no way to return and explore the Courtyard after that. From the VIP Suite, head into the Research Facility, where, upon picking up the Helicopter Key by the computer, you will be forced to escape, and that’s the last you’ll see of the Care Center.
Care Center Rooftop & Church (Leon)
Leon gets a small section where he’s on the Care Center Rooftop, sniping at zombies while Grace and Emily try to reach the safety of a church. Once Grace is safely inside, Leon can jump down the open railing, and after, he won’t be able to go back to the Rooftop. Leon will then enter a church, and once he kills all the enemies, he will be forced into a cutscene to progress.
Water Treatment Plant (Grace)
The Water Treatment Plant forces Grace to navigate through dark rooms as she searches for terminals to restart the Power Distribution Units. After restarting all 3 and opening the hatch to eliminate the Girl, Grace will enter a cutscene that skips to the next chapter once she approaches the door where Emily is.
All Raccoon City Points of No Return
East Raccoon City (Leon)
When Leon enters East Raccoon City, he will be tasked with finding 3 Detonator Parts to detonate the bomb on a wall that will allow him to progress to the Raccoon City Center. After finding all 3 parts and interacting with the bomb on the wall, he will not be able to return to East Raccoon City.
Raccoon City Center (Leon)
Once Leon enters Raccoon City Center, he can find just a Mr. Raccoon Memoriam here, and then if he interacts with the gate to the R.P.D. entrance, he won’t be able to go back outside.
Orphanage
After confronting Zeno in the R.P.D., a flashback to the Orphanage occurs. There’s some files to collect in the Underground Chapel and the Research Lab, and if players interact with the remote to view the slideshow, they will leave the Orphanage and never come back.
R.P.D.
After a chase sequence with Mr. X, Leon will now have access to a path out of the R.P.D. If Leon heads down the rubble north, he will no longer be able to enter the R.P.D. However, he can turn back to find an Underground Garage that contains some files and a Charm, along with other goodies at Gun Shop Kedo.
Blackthorne Station (Leon)
After defeating Mr. X and heading into Blackthorne Station, Leon can head through a sewer vent. He will now no longer be able to return to the R.P.D., and as he progresses deeper, he won’t be able to return to Blackthorne Station, especially after he descends on the rope and fights Plant 43.
All ARK Points of No Return
ARK (Leon Part 1)
Once Leon enters the ARK and makes his way past the BSAA Agents, he will enter a boss fight with the Commander. After the boss fight, Leon can return to the long hallway that leads to the Central Refilling System. If Leon enters the Central Refilling System, he will no longer be able to access this starting area of the ARK.
ARK (Grace)
Grace’s section in ARK will end once she grabs both Orbs for the Recessed Panel in the Lobby and enters the red doors. More specifically, if Grace enters through the red doors and interacts with the central computer, she will be forced into a cutscene, and when you return as Grace, the red doors are locked.
ARK (Leon Part 2)
As you return to Leon, you will be locked out once you enter the elevator in the Bioweapon Repository 11 room. This elevator will take you to your objective and force you into a cutscene. After, you will play as Grace and make a decision that determines the ending, and there’s no way back after that.
