Mewgenics has plenty of quests to complete with your cat army, and doing so will get you some really useful rewards.
Quests in Mewgenics don’t take the usual main and side missions route. Instead, you have Progression Quests, which are the main missions in the game. Then there are Invention Quests that work as the side stuff you can complete for more rewards.
All Progression Quests in Mewgenics and how to complete them
Progression Quests are obtained by defeating different bosses in Mewgenics. These quests can be slightly tricky, and they will apply certain modifiers to your runs. Every Progression Quest has a specific item that you’ll have to bring to a fixed location to begin the quest.
| Quest Item | Location | Effects |
|---|---|---|
| Throbbing Gristle | Caves: Wall of Flesh | All units will die when they lose their HP. Killing enemies with this item will turn them into meat. |
| Putrid Leech | Boneyard: Throbbing Artery | Prevents the user-controlled cats from levelling up and kills them if they go down. However, the cats also gain Lifesteal on all their attacks. |
| Guillotina’s Head | Throbbing Domain: Meat Altar | Play all the battles in hard mode. Every attack on the enemies has a chance to inflict Fear with an attack. |
| Scalding Orb | Man in the Moon | Grants +3 SPD, but you have to toss the item to cats with open weapon slots so that they don’t take 3 Burn each turn. When equipped on a cat, all adjacent allies will take 3 Burn instead. |
| Black Shard | N/A | You have to absorb a unit with low health to power up the item. The item transforms once you absorb 20 cats, and the power applies across multiple runs. The item grants you more damage from kills. |
| Glowing Black Shard | Stab it into the Coven | Deal 5 DMG with Lifesteal and apply 5 Burn. The item also purges all debuffs and can be used only once. The item instantly kills the Coven. |
| Pyrophina/Zaratana’s Collar | Moon for Pyrophina Core for Zaratana |
The creature will join you on your journey. However, they can also damage your own cats if they’re caught in the crossfire. |
| Cryogenic Time Chamber | Put the Throbbing King’s heart in the container at the Throbbing Domain | All enemies revive to +30% HP at the end of every round. Also grants you a random pull at the end of a round. |
| Receiver Antenna | Place the item in Jurassic | Grants you a +8 Shield and gains a charge when an ally casts mana. All events will also have some unique special happenings. |
| Transmitter Antenna | Place in The End | All spells will cost -2 mana. However, the ability gets scrambled for the remainder of the fight if one of your cats casts a spell. |
| Signal Amplifier | The Rift: Place it in a floating end | Spawns a random robot with Madness at the end of the first round. The item energizes all robots and gives All Stats Up. |
