A new project is on the horizon, as Bloober Team and Konami join forces once more.
The last time Bloober and Konami collaborated, we got the Silent Hill 2 Remake. It proved to be a massive success, and it won various awards and was nominated for many more. It is safe to say that Silent Hill 2 Remake is one of the best games of 2024. The developers, Bloober Team, were already veterans of the horror genre and they have done their best to honor the original game while updating it for modern platforms. And the results speak for themselves. After that, Bloober revealed that they were working on an original IP, another horror game. But, it looks like they are busier than expected.
Bloober Team and Konami Collaborate on a New Project
On February 25, Bloober Team announced that they had signed a new agreement with Konami for a new joint project. The game will be based on Konami’s IP, but they can’t reveal which one yet.
“Our collaboration with Konami has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create high-quality production together. Of course, we can’t reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are. We can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right. “ said Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team.
Konami’s IP includes the aforementioned Silent Hill series, Castlevania, Contra, Yu-Gi-Oh, Metal Gear, and more, so the possibilities are endless. It may very well be another Silent Hill game, or maybe a Castlevania reboot. In any case, we are certain that Bloober will do an excellent job.
