The Marvel Rivals community has been on an emotional rollercoaster recently. First, the devs announced there would be a mid-Season rank reset, which annoyed so many players that the devs hastily changed their decision. Then, the Fantastic Love streamer giveaway event caused quite an uproar. The community was quite upset with the devs, but their latest announcement seemingly improved the situation. Marvel Rivals developers shared they decided to adjust Seasonal Rewards, and the community is quite pleased with these changes.
Seasonal Rewards Changed a Bit
On February 14, the developers shared the latest edition of Dev Talk (Vol. 12), named Seasonal Rewards Adjustments. In it, they explained how the community’s feedback around mid-Season rank reset made them rethink some earlier decisions. So, they decided to make some changes to accommodate the players.
The devs shared more details about mid-Seasonal and Seasonal rewards. First of all, February 21, 2025, marks the end of the first half of the Season. All eligible players will receive rewards, as planned. Don’t worry, you won’t miss out on the Blood Shield costume (Invisible Woman).
However, they decided that the end-of-Season Gold rank costume rewards would also include the Blood Shield costume, for everyone who didn’t get it mid-Season. Of course, eligible players will also get a new Human Torch costume, Blood Blaze.
The devs clarified: “In order to claim both rewards, players must participate in at least 10 competitive matches during the second half of the season and reach Gold rank or higher. Keep in mind, this is the last opportunity to earn these costumes, as they will be replaced with new rewards in Season 2”.
Finally, they disclosed that this didn’t apply to the Crest of Honor rewards. These rewards would remain separate for each half Season. This means that the respective Crest of Honor rewards can be obtained only in defined timeframes.

The devs concluded: “We hope these changes give you greater flexibility. Whether you are balancing Marvel Rivals with your daily life or aiming for the stars in Competitive mode, we want you to be able to achieve your rank goals, claim your rewards, and enjoy the game to the fullest”.
Marvel Rivals Players Appreciate the Rewards Adjustment
Even though some would say that this change to Seasonal Rewards wasn’t major, Marvel Rivals players truly appreciated it. This adjustment showed that the devs put players first, which is always a great sign.
Sonicguy1996 stated: “So not only did they listen to the previous feedback, but also continued to listen to those who now felt stressed trying to get to gold earlier than they expected. If this isn’t a clear sign that this game is in the best possible hands it can be, then idk what will”.
Another player, lore_2308, explained: “Some people will complain that the devs are being a bit too accommodating. But, this is a very good thing. Until a few days ago, everyone thought we had like 2 more months to reach gold. Now, the people who are already gold can get the reward early, while the others do not have to hurry all of a sudden”.
Honestly, we love to see the developers paying attention to what the community needs. In our experience, the games developed by the devs who listen are always the best. So, feel free to voice your wishes and expectations for the future, the devs might hear you out. In the meantime, enjoy the game, and see you out there.
