The release of the latest, and by far the most controversial Assassin’s Creed title is getting closer. Ubisoft has already postponed the release a couple of times earning the ire of the players. Add the fact that the fans wanted a title set in Japan since forever, but Ubisoft’s choice of protagonists sparked outrage in the community, with players accusing them of pandering to the ideas and agendas of today, rather than making a (more or less) historical game. This argument has been going on for a while, with preliminary reviews reporting both good and bad. Unfortunately, it is now uncommon today to censor negative reviews and only keep the positive ones (hooray journalism!), so we can’t know who to trust. So, when can we find out for ourselves?
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Release Date and Pricing
The release date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is Thursday, March 20, 2025, assuming it doesn’t get postponed again.
It will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games).
AC Shadows is already available for pre-purchase and there are two editions available:
- Standard Edition – $69.99
- Digital Deluxe Edition – $89.99
