Back Into the Gloom! Helldivers 2 Players Have Embarked on a New Mission to Stop the Singularity for the Latest Major Order

It’s finally time to take the Meridian Singularity seriously. The wormhole has already claimed Angel’s Venture, Moradesh, and Ivis, it has to be stopped. Well, the secret to stopping it might be hiding beneath the thick cloud of spores. Yes, the recently issued Major Order sends the Helldivers 2 players back into the Gloom to help out with finding a solution for the Meridian Singularity.

The Latest Major Order Sends the Helldivers Back Into the Gloom

On April 11, mere hours after the players completed the previous MO, the High Command issued a new one. As always, a briefing that explained the mission arrived with the Major Order.

According to the briefing, the third and final phase of the scientists’ plan to stop the Meridian Singularity is almost ready. However, the scientists will need extremely high quantities of the E-710 to make further progress. Dark Energy manipulation is quite energy-demanding!

As you probably remember, the bugs in the Gloom produce highly concentrated E-710. Thus, the Gloom is the perfect source of energy. Of course, any overflow of E-710 will be put to good use.

Furthermore, Helldivers should be on the lookout for new Gloom-specific Terminid strains. We’re all well aware of the Spore-burst bugs and the Predator strain, but it seems that a new unit might show its ugly face. A deadly one, according to the briefing.

So, what do the Helldivers 2 players have to do in the Gloom for the current Major Order? Well, they need to provide security for a scientific expedition. This time, the scientists have chosen Nivel 43, so the Helldivers have to liberate this planet.

Helldivers 2 Players Are Excited, but Not Overly Confident

Since the previous Major Order that sent the Helldivers 2 into the Gloom was a magnificent success, one might expect the players to be cocky because they were going back. However, with a threat of a new enemy, and a very high regen rate (around 6% per hour, at the time of writing this article), this MO will be challenging.

Still, the community won’t back down. And, after spending the last couple of weeks on the bot front, the Gloom makes for a nice change of scenery. One player, annie, noted: “This is exciting! I really enjoyed fighting gloom bugs last time. And hopefully we’re gonna get more Illuminate very soon to make that front as fun as the others”.

Ah, yes, the Illuminate, they didn’t come this week, but who knows, they might come sometime in the near future. In the meantime, watch out for this baddie. See you on Nivel 43! For Liberty and Super Earth.
