Battlefield 6 Fans Aren’t Happy With the Game’s Mastery Camos

The Battlefield 6 community is mocking the game’s Mastery Camos after one user took to Twitter to show off ‘Unstoppable Force’, which is the highest cosmetic reward in the game. Battlefield 6 players can earn the aforementioned weapon camo by reaching Mastery 50 on a particular gun, but many fans are making it clear that the design of the camo simply isn’t worth the grind.

Weapon camos have become a huge part of first-person shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield, giving fans something to work towards during their playtime. It’s a great way to keep the player base engaged, as fans often have to grind for many hours to unlock Dark Matter in Black Ops 6 or, in the case of Battlefield 6, Unstoppable Force. Although Dark Matter and Unstoppable Force are the two highest weapon camos in their respective titles, they are unlocked differently. Battlefield 6 players can get their hands on Unstoppable Force by reaching Mastery 50 on a weapon, while Black Ops 6 players need to unlock every single camo for 33 different weapons before they can move on to the Dark Matter challenges.

Battlefield 6 Players Are Blasting the Game’s Mastery Camos

Unlike Call of Duty, Battlefield takes a much more realistic approach to its cosmetic items. While Black Ops 6‘s Dark Matter camo is neon purple and can be seen by enemy players from the opposite side of the map, Battlefield 6‘s Mastery Camos are much more subtle. Unfortunately, they might be a little too subtle for players’ liking. Twitter user Maxiq recently showed off the Unstoppable Force camo on their Kord 6P67, only for it to be viewed nearly 8 million times as the community mocked the skin. Many were quick to label it as “boring” and “not good,” while others questioned if the camo was even equipped.

Not only do fans think the camo is pretty lackluster, but many are also pointing out how much grinding and playtime it takes to level up weapons in Battlefield 6. Progression is currently very slow, and with a “boring” camo at the end of the grind, players are wondering if it’s even worthwhile. “The fact there’s delusional people thinking it’s worth the hours of grinding per weapon for a poo camo is crazy,” Twitter user Reality said, while XpertFusion said, “If your game is going to have camo progression, the final camo you unlock SHOULD be decent and actually look like a mastery camo.”

Although it might not be to everyone’s taste, it is in line with DICE’s promise of keeping Battlefield 6 a realistic and grounded shooter. Call of Duty recently found itself in hot water with fans due to the never-ending collaborations and unrealistic cosmetic items in Black Ops 6, which resulted in the cancellation of Carry Forward for Black Ops 7. Battlefield 6, on the other hand, has taken a much different approach to its aesthetic. When asked about the “goofy” skins in other shooters, a Battlefield 6 developer reassured fans that the shooter will remain a “gritty, realistic shooter.”
