DICE has acknowledged a Battlefield 6 issue preventing some players from receiving their launch-day rewards. The developer provided some clarity on the scope of the bug—which affects multiple types of rewards—and confirmed it is actively investigating it, indicating that Battlefield 6 players will need to exercise some patience until the problem is resolved.
Battlefield 6 was released earlier today, October 10. In the lead-up to its international launch, fans had a chance to earn multiple rewards through gameplay activities, purchases, or both. The incentives were meant to be added to their accounts on day one. However, as soon as the game hit the market, some players have taken to social media and EA’s support forums to report that they haven’t received the rewards they were promised.
Battlefield 6 Missing Rewards Bug Is Being Investigated
The situation was officially acknowledged at 11am PT, three hours following the game’s launch, with a DICE representative stating that the company is currently looking into the cause of the issue causing a hold-up in the rewards being distributed. The rep also elaborated on the scope of the problem, stating that the newly identified bug affects rewards from the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, the game’s Phantom Edition, and the Battlefield 2042 “Road to Battlefield 6” battle pass.
No timeline for the bug’s resolution has yet been provided. EA’s support pages also haven’t been updated to acknowledge the problem, though they do state that some rewards may take longer to appear. The issue doesn’t appear to affect every player, and has thus far been predominantly observed on PC. Separately, social media users have reported authentication issues with the EA App, suggesting the bug could be related to server overload. If some players are unable to even launch Battlefield 6, it’s plausible that reward processing may also be experiencing disruptions.
While the Battlefield 2042 rewards for Battlefield 6 may not be claimable right now, the situation should be resolved long before they expire. As soon as it launched the themed Road to Battlefield 6 battle pass in mid-August 2025, EA stated that its unlocks would be redeemable in Battlefield 6 until March 31, 2026. However, the progression track itself was only available in Battlefield 2042 for six weeks, having been discontinued on October 7, 2025.
Battlefield 6 Rewards Affected by Newly Confirmed Bug
- Battlefield 2042 ‘Road to Battlefield 6’ rewards
- Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition rewards
- Battlefield Open Beta rewards
The Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition bonuses don’t have a set expiration date, meaning anyone who bought the higher-tier edition of the first-person shooter should receive them eventually. The open beta rewards are also not time-limited.
