The Solo Ops playlist is a great place for one-Guardian armies in Destiny 2 to farm power or try out build without having to queue up for public matchmaking. Coincidentally, it’s also one of the best places to grind for loot. Not only are missions here shorter than those in Fireteam Ops, but they’re also relatively easier, especially with the right modifiers on.
If you’re trying to reach max Light level in Destiny 2, then the Solo Ops playlist is an excellent place to start. Thankfully, you can pick and choose which missions you do here, and some of them are much easier to complete than others. This guide details the two best Solo Ops missions and some tips on how to farm them more efficiently.
Best Solo Missions for Power Grinding in Destiny 2
Among the many Solo Ops missions, two stand out for being easier and quicker to complete than others: Caldera and K1 Logistics. Both have straightforward layouts, and they won’t take you more than 10 minutes to complete, even on Destiny 2’s harder difficulty settings (so long as players work efficiently).
Caldera
This is arguably the best mission for solo grinding in the game. There are only two objectives in Caldera, and both are very easy to do, though the first one may need some planning or proper routing if you want to clear it as quickly as possible.
The enemy faction players face here may change from time to time, but the general structure of the mission remains the same:
- Sabotage three objectives.
- Defeat a boss.
For the first part, players will need to destroy three objectives that change depending on the faction they’re fighting. For Vex, it’s three dark matter cubes, and for Fallen, it’s three supply depots. Destroy them in any order, then follow the quest objective to the next area.
The boss in the Caldera mission also changes depending on the enemy faction. A big Harpy will spawn when fighting Vex, and for Fallen, players will fight two Captains. To bring down the Harpy’s invulnerability shield, players will need to destroy the Vex data cubes that spawn in the area, and as for the Fallen, simply damage the other boss when one becomes invulnerable.
K1 Logistics
This mission is much more straightforward, and it feels more like a traditional strike, largely due to the fact that it will have you running a fairly short lost sector on the Moon for the majority of its duration.
Much like Caldera, this mission has only two objectives:
- Secure objectives.
- Defeat a boss.
The mission flow here is almost exactly the same as Caldera, and whether you pick one or the other all depends on personal preference.
