Following the completion of the Traunts Don’t Need a Reason community challenge, Borderlands 4 is finally giving away a free SHiFT code for Harlowe, the Gravitar. The latest code is just one of the many free Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes that have been given away to players and granted them Golden Keys, new character skins, and more.
While free SHiFT codes are always great to have, Borderlands 4 is far from finished with shelling out new content. The special Halloween-themed Horrors of Kairos mini-event is just around the corner, and with it comes a major patch aimed at balancing some of the game’s most overpowered and underpowered builds — namely, Vex’s infinite bleed build and melee builds, respectively. Following that, the game’s How Rush Saved Mercenary Day Bounty Pack will become available on November 20, marking Borderlands 4‘s first paid DLC launch. For now, though, players have yet another skin they can unlock.
Borderlands 4 Harlowe ‘Maliwannabee’ Skin SHiFT Code
- J96JT-BCXKT-C6JJ5-JTJBB-BZTXJ
Borderlands 4 players can now claim the Maliwannabee skin for Harlowe using the code “J96JT-BCXKT-C6JJ5-JTJBB-BZTXJ” via the in-game SHiFT menu or on the SHiFT website. As stated by the game’s official Twitter account, this reward code was awarded to players for them “KILLING” the Traunts Don’t Need a Reason community challenge by completing 571,670 Contracts as Harlowe, despite the challenge only requiring 350,000 Contract completions.
Valid through December 31, 2030, the Maliwannabee SHiFT skin is inspired by Harlowe’s “Family Reunion” character short, which premiered just over two weeks ahead of Borderlands 4‘s launch. Unlike other free Vault Hunter short-based SHiFT skins, Harlowe’s isn’t based on the color scheme she can be seen wearing during the video but instead on that of her brother Ephraim, whom she engages in battle with shortly after their encounter. The color scheme in question features a pale green and slate blue, and features the Maliwan logo on her chest and a pouch on her waist.
It’s unclear yet whether Borderlands 4 will continue to feature new community challenges that award players with even more free SHiFT skins for their favorite Vault Hunters, but the latest at least concludes one full round, meaning each character now has access to a style based on their pre-release short. Given how each SHiFT skin awarded so far has been little more than a color change, perhaps Borderlands 4 will even consider giving players new bodies and heads for their Vault Hunters in potential future rounds.
