Boruto: Naruto Uzumaki Isn’t Getting Stronger And It’s Terrifying

Boruto: Naruto Uzumaki Isn’t Getting Stronger And It’s Terrifying

This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.

From the very beginning, the Boruto manga has been clear in telling fans that the story isn’t just about Naruto Uzumaki anymore. He might be the universal anime and manga hero of his generation, but it’s Boruto Uzumaki’s time to be the main character of his own series. Still, letting go of Naruto is not easy, especially now that he remains out of commission in the Boruto manga.

To this day, fans are still waiting for Naruto Uzumaki’s epic comeback after Kawaki unexpectedly sealed him just to ensure his safety. Unlike the prime Naruto, he now requires saving, exposing a side of himself rarely seen. Worse, Naruto is not getting stronger at the moment, a shocking reversal that leaves fans questioning how the ninja world can survive without its legendary hero at full power.

Naruto Uzumaki Is Still Sealed Away in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

Naruto Uzumaki’s Return Is Still On Hold

  • Out of obsession for Naruto’s protection, Kawaki sealed the Seventh Hokage.
  • Naruto is still alive but remains sealed with no signs of returning anytime soon.

Many fans believe that sealing Naruto Uzumaki in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is not a very good decision, considering the weight of his reputation and the void he left, a space that no other ninja has been able to fill. His absence created uncertainty in the ninja world, emphasizing just how irreplaceable the Seventh Hokage is to Konoha, his allies, and his family.

However, in Naruto’s absence, the next generation, such as Boruto and Sarada, have grown stronger and more capable, stepping up to protect the village in ways Naruto once did. If Naruto were still around, Boruto and Sarada might not have realized the extent of their full potential as the new generation of shinobi. Naruto, however, might still be at the frontline, dealing with Jura and the Shinju Clones, putting his precious life on the line like he always did.

In many ways, Naruto being sealed has created more opportunities for Boruto and Sarada to prove themselves in the most unexpected ways. In addition, Naruto remains alive and safe, away from the enemies who want him dead. Still, seeing Naruto free from his sealed state and back in action is better than watching the Seventh Hokage sidelined while his beloved village is at risk of destruction.

Fans are hopeful that Naruto Uzumaki will return with a new power-up that could make him stronger than anyone else in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. They are still waiting for the Seventh Hokage to step back into action and prove why Naruto is the greatest protector of the shinobi world. Some fans even came up with theories that Naruto might return with a new ability designed to counter the strongest enemies in the series.

Unfortunately, Naruto is not getting stronger in his current state. It’s very clear that he is frozen in time, not getting stronger or weaker. In other words, he is trapped in a stasis, much like a hero in suspended animation. He doesn’t have the freedom to train in secret, refine his skills, or come up with a new game-changing ability. And once he returns, he may be the same Naruto, but forced to catch up with the world that has continued to evolve in his absence.

For now, Naruto needs help, and someone from the next generation could come to his rescue, whether it’s Boruto, Sarada, or Kawaki himself. It might be bad if Jura reaches Naruto first, as the leader of the Shinju has been very vocal in his plans to target Naruto due to his unrivaled bond with the Tailed Beasts.

The Boruto manga is not about Naruto anymore, so it’s reasonable to assume that he won’t be returning anytime soon in Two Blue Vortex. With the story centered on Boruto, Naruto’s epic comeback might be delayed for the sake of his son’s character development and power progression.

As much as fans would love to see Naruto defeating powerful villains and dominating battles again, the Boruto manga is obviously giving the next generation space to grow first. Worst-case scenario, Naruto dies, and his legacy will continue with Boruto and the next generation. However, the possibility of that happening is slim, with the story keeping him alive by sealing him instead of killing him outright.
