Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 publisher Activision has confirmed that those who partake in the shooter’s open beta period next month will receive exclusive in-game rewards. Anybody who pre-orders Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 before October 2 will be granted early access to the beta, allowing them more time to level up and earn lucrative rewards. For those who are still undecided about pre-ordering, the beta will be available to all players on October 5, with no pre-purchase required.
It’s been a rocky few weeks for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, as the next entry in the iconic Black Ops series has received a huge amount of backlash from the Call of Duty community. While there has been very little criticism targeted directly at the gameplay of Black Ops 7, fans have made it clear that they’re tired of unrealistic cosmetic items, constant collaborations, and pricey store bundles. In response, Treyarch Studios has been rolling out numerous changes ahead of the game’s launch, including adjustments to Black Ops 7‘s Vault Edition skins, the removal of Carry Forward, and more.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Players Can Get Free Rewards
The early access beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is scheduled to begin on October 2 for pre-order customers, followed by an open beta on October 5 for everyone else. As expected, Activision has now confirmed in a new email (via Detonated) that participants in the upcoming open beta period will receive exclusive in-game rewards. According to the email, players will be able to level up and unlock an Operator, Weapon Charm, an animated Emblem, and more. Unfortunately, Activision has yet to show fans exactly what these rewards look like.
Activision is giving fans plenty of opportunities to get their hands on in-game rewards for the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, as the publisher has also once again teamed up with drink brand Monster Energy for another pre-release promotion. It works exactly how it did with Black Ops 6; fans simply need to purchase cans of Monster from their local store, input the code from the back of the pull-tab into the Monster Energy website, and earn in-game rewards for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The more codes players collect, the more rewards they’ll earn.
Although Activision has scrapped the proposed Carry Forward feature, fans will still be able to transfer their Double XP tokens from Black Ops 6 into Black Ops 7 later this year. And the good news is that the studio is giving players the chance to earn a plethora of Double XP tokens in Call of Duty from now until October 1. Fans simply need to log into Black Ops 6 or Warzone before the aforementioned date to earn five 1-hour Double Player XP tokens, five 1-hour Double Weapon XP tokens, and five 1-hour Double Battle Pass XP tokens. All of which can be carried forward into Black Ops 7 when it launches later this year.
