The newest Monser Hunter game is getting closer and closer, but can your PC handle it? Thankfully, the Monster Hunter Wilds team just released a Benchmark that you can download right now.
Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest game from Capcom, that is soon to be released. From what we saw in the trailers, teasers, and open betas, it looks amazing. That also means that it will only be playable on current-gen consoles and that you’ll need a solid rig to pull it off. The PC system requirements are already live, but the MH Wilds team chose to go one step further.
Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark Is Available For Download
On February 5, the team behind Monster Hunter Wilds released a special “add-on” allowing you to test the game will run on your computer. “The Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark will allow you to see how the near-launch version of the game will run on your rig, via watching a demo play out”. It is worth pointing out that there is no actual “gaming” in it, there is nothing for you to do game-wise, it is just a “demo” to test out your rig.
They continue saying that the game’s optimization will be different from what is needed for the Open Beta. The full game will be a bit more demanding than the betas, so that’s why the Benchmark is here.
You can download the Benchmark from the official Steam page, and as per the official announcement:
- Install Size: 29 GB
- Length: Around 6 minutes
- Benchmark Flow: Title Screen -> Performance check whilst displaying a demonstration -> Results screen.
- A score will be provided based on the performance of your PC (see below for gradings).
- Note: There’s no character creation available.

So, if you want to double-check whether you can run Monster Hunter Wilds, just to be sure, head on to the official Steam page and download the Benchmark. You can even adjust the settings, to see how far you can push your rig.
