Capcom Fighting Collection 2: All Games, Ranked
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 features many classic games, some of which haven’t been playable in ages. Here are the best titles in the collection.
Coming with 8 different games, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 offers a wide variety of Fighter Awards that require the player to complete various challenges, and most of them don’t lock the player to a certain character. So, having an idea about the best fighter in each game can actually help to finish them quickly without a long process of trial and error.
8
Gunrock
Power Stone
Unlike all the other fighting experiences packed inside Capcom Fighting Collection 2 that focus on two-dimensional fights, the Power Stone series tries a new formula by offering a top-down three-dimensional experience, which is quite different, fun, and challenging, all at the same time.
The first entry of Power Stone only includes 1v1 battles, and there is no doubt that Gunrock is the best fighter. He is tanky and slow when it comes to movements, but his attacks are devastating, almost as powerful as a special move. If players manage to corner their enemy playing as Gunrock, the game’s almost over with a victory!
7
Mel
Power Stone 2
Moving to the second iteration of Power Stone, things change in a fun way. This version of the game elevates the experience by introducing free-for-all, 4-player battles, similar to those of the Super Smash Bros. franchise.
Since there are three enemies available to deal with, Gunrock is no longer a good option in Power Stone 2. Instead, Mel is the new meta. She might not be the fastest character, but she still comes with decent movement speeds, and her special move is a circle revolving around her, knocking down any character nearby. The special move along is powerful and useful enough to have her on the list as one of the top choices.
6
Clair
Plasma World
Claire is a master of swords in Plasma World, and this amazing weapon allows her to deal melee damage from a decent range, giving her a sheer edge over characters that need to come closer for punches.

2D fighters have been around since the arcade days, but which of them are the most fun to jump into nowadays?
Other than that, Claire’s special move is a strong sword attack that drills through the enemy, dealing a significant amount of damage without requiring the character to go up and close with the enemy.
The movesets of Claire, however, might not be quite fast, and she is not one of those super agile fighters, but still, she delivers everything needed for victory if the player manages to use abilities at the right time.
5
Pyron, Ryu
Capcom Fighting Evolution
Capcom Fighting Evolution has a pretty unique selection of characters, picking a handful of fighters from different games and forcing them to face up against each other. There are a variety of great fighters and fan-favorite faces, but nothing really can withstand the devastating attacks of Pyron.
Pyron is just an undeniably overpowered character in this game, and he comes with some fluid attacks that stick to the target and deal significant damage. Cornering an enemy with Pyron’s heavy punch is just alone to drain their health bar repeatedly.
Since the game does require a second selection, Ryu comes as the next best fighter, though Mr. Bison is also an honorable mention here.
4
Kurow, Hyo, Tiffany
Project Justice
Project Justice probably delivers the most fun tag-team-style fighting in the second iteration of Capcom Fighting Collection. It’s just amazing to gain power points during the match and then perform some of those special moves with the help of fellow characters.
Similar to other games on the list, Project Justice also comes with a long list of original characters, but a top candidate must include at least one of Hyo or Kurow. Both of these characters come with powerful attacks that are easy to perform. The movements in Project Justice might feel a little bit slower than other games, and that makes having perfect timing even more important.

For the third slot, Tiffany seems to be a great choice. She is fast in movements, and she has some cool special attacks that are both fun and easy to perform.
3
Morrigan, Chun-Li
Capcom Vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
Morrigan is one of the most popular characters in the Darkstalkers series and has been featured in numerous Capcom fighting games, and there is a good reason for that. The character comes with a variety of different movesets that make her a good fit for any play style.
Of course, she might not be a reliable ranged damage dealer, as most of her attacks require Morrigan to go quite close to the enemy, but still, she possesses some simple but effective moves with decent coverage that help her survive tough fights.
Next to Morrigan, and pretty close to her, players can count on Chun-Li in the first iteration of Capcom Vs. SNK. Chun-Li offers a little bit faster movesets and feels more fluid than Morrigan.
2
Morrigan, Cammy, Yuri
Capcom Vs. SNK 2: Mark Of The Millennium 2001
In the second iteration of Capcom Vs. SNK, the roster almost remains the same as the first game, but it divides the game into multiple fighting styles, which players have to choose from before even selecting their character.
Again, Morrigan is quite a powerful fighter in the sequel as well. She almost saves every strength she had in the predecessor to Capcom Vs. SNK, thus making it easier to just continue picking her as the first choice.
The sequel requires players to choose three characters instead of two. While Chun-Li is still a good choice, Cammy and Yuri offer better movesets, and they also have powerful special moves. So, again, the alternatives should compensate for Morrigan’s slow attacks.
1
Fei Long
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper is such an amazing choice to be included in Capcom Fighting Collection 2, and it comes with some of the most beloved fighters in the history of Street Fighter, which makes it quite enjoyable to explore all of them.
However, speaking of the best, it feels like Fei Long is just on another level. The character comes with amazing foot attacks and decent punches. And let’s not forget about his fascinating special move, which is part of the reason why he is a meta in this game. That being said, the gap between the top characters in this game is quite close, and going with Fei Long never guarantees a win.
