The April edition of The First Descendant AMA is still ongoing, so here is the second batch of questions and answers.
On April 25, TFD devs Minseok Joo and Beom-jun Lee started another Ask Me Anything session on TFD’s official Discord channel, which will last for about six days. The fans use the opportunity to ask, well, anything about The First Descendant, about the current issues and plans for the future of the game. We already covered the initial batch of questions, and this time, we gathered up a bunch of questions that Minseok Joo managed to answer in a short while. It is a weekend for them as well! So, without further ado, here are the answers.
Second Batch of Questions in the Ongoing The First Descendant AMA Session
Dia as a Descendant
About the prospect of Dia becoming a Descendant, the devs had this to say: “It is true that we have considered making Dia a playable descendant and have prepared her story. However, she will not be released this summer.”

Descendant Stories
It was revealed that the devs would love to do Valby’s and Viessa‘s story. “While there is no scheduled plan yet, we definitely want to share Valby’s story. Do you remember Valby sitting on the beach in the launch trailer? She is a descendant with so many stories we want to tell.” and “I would love to someday explore the story of Viessa during her days operating in Albion’s underworld. I also hope we can create more stories about the Descendants.”
Bunny
While we’re are the topic of Descendants, a lot of fans asked about Bunny and pointed out the fact that the character whose whole shtick is that she’s fast is hardly the fastest character around.
This was the answer: “I also agree with the opinion that Bunny’s identity should be further highlighted by making her Speed of Light ability feel more special. We will discuss further with the team on how to address this issue without simply reverting to the past state, and I will share more once we have a clearer direction,” as well as this: “Previously, there was an issue where Bunny would reach the next combat area first and clear all the monsters, so we believe this is something that needs to be reviewed carefully. We will discuss internally how we can preserve Bunny’s unique charm while ensuring we don’t return to the problems we faced in the past.” There were two full replies, but they both boil down to the same thing.

Axion Plains and New Content
Players asked whether the devs plan to add another level of difficulty to the game, as currently, everyone has figured out the best combos, and things have gotten a bit stale. Will there be a significant challenge in Season 3? On that topic, the devs had this to say:
“While we are not planning to add a third difficulty tier, Axion Plains in Season 3 will start at a higher difficulty level than Sigma Sector High Risk missions. We are also preparing a new type of content where the difficulty varies depending on event conditions. The development team is fully aware that character and weapon performance has become excessively high compared to the existing content, and we are planning to design and release new content with appropriate difficulty levels. In particular, our focus is not on simply increasing enemy health or defense to make gameplay uncomfortable, but on designing difficulty increases in a way that enhances the overall play experience and makes it more enjoyable.”
Melee Weapons
Players have been asking for close-combat weapons practically since day one, and one player proposed a bunch of melee weapons as Ultimate Weapons. Minseok Joo replied: “That sounds fun! But the list of melee weapons I’m hoping for is a little different.” Is that a veiled response (wouldn’t be the first time) that some melee weapons are in the works, or just wishful thinking?
Larger Module Storage Capacity
You’d think that having the ability to store about 1000 Modules would be enough, but you’d be wrong. The players asked if something would be done about it and the devs replied: “We have not yet actively reviewed increasing the module storage limit. However, as more modules continue to be added, I agree that expanding the storage will eventually become necessary.”
That is it for now, so tune in tomorrow for a new batch of questions!
