“Change of Plans!” Helldivers 2 Players Blame J.O.E.L For the Major Order Chaos

Oof, what a mess! Instead of uniting the players, the latest MO seems to have torn the community apart. Devoted Helldivers 2 players are slowly failing the Major Order, and many accuse J.O.E.L of interfering with the players’ original plans. How does one choose if they should fight bugs or bots?

Helldivers 2 Players Will Probably Lose Another Major Order

As you most likely know, the current Major Order gave Helldivers another choice. This time, they had to choose between fighting the bugs to slow down the Meridian Singularity or stopping the bots from spreading.

Initially, the choice seemed clear, the majority of players were already on the bug front. Also, after Angel’s Venture and Moradesh, it’s high time the Helldivers stopped the Meridian Singularity. So, the players kind of ignored the bot option from the very start of the MO.

Well, at some point, J.O.E.L managed to lure the players to the players to the bot front, by offering them a delicious gambit. If the players liberated Bekvam III, they would have automatically stopped the attacks on two planets, thus making big progress for the MO.

Unfortunately, the gambit turned out to be too big of a bite, and Helldivers were back at the beginning. Three days since the start of the current Major Order, Helldivers have stopped just two Automaton attacks and squished around 34% of the bugs needed. Given that only two days and six hours are left, these numbers point to a defeat.

J.O.E.L Ruined Helldivers’ Plans With a Gambit

The problem with this kind of Major Order is that Helldivers 2 players need to choose one of the plans and stick with it. In light of everything that has happened, many players blame J.O.E.L for “redirecting” players to the bot front with the gambit.

No-Iron-5111 noted: “When the order started I did what had more percentage completed – which was killing Terminds. But now people started to defend against the automatons, WE CAN’T DO BOTH”.

Now, as you probably know, the latest update brought a lot of cool novelties to the bot front. So, obviously, some percentage of players have been on the bot front just trying out the new additions.

Zortrax_br stated: “I don’t know what the devs are thinking. They launch new content, but, they give us several planets with very high danger level to defend. Of course, it would completely fail. Defending even one planet would take about half of the player base from the beginning”.

So, dear Helldiver, since there is practically no chance to fend off six attacks in just two days, head to the bug front. If we all unite, we might be able to complete the bug Option. We’ll meet you there. For Liberty and Super Earth.
