Clash Royale keeps things exciting by dropping new cards and evolutions from time to time. With the start of Season 70, the game has just added an evolution for Executioner. Starting April 7, players can unlock and try out this evolved card.
The Evolved Executioner is easily one of the strongest evolutions in Clash Royale right now. It can support your heavy cards and shut down all kinds of pushes on defense. But what makes it so good? And what are the best decks to use with it? Let’s take a look.

A Tale of Thieves is Clash Royale’s new season for April, packed with fun events, challenges, and even a brand-new card; here’s everything it offers.
How to Use Evolution Executioner in Clash Royale
The Evolution Executioner costs five elixir and has an evo cycle of one, which means fans can use the evolved version pretty often. The game describes it as: ‘That’s not an axe… This is an axe. Evolved Executioner’s axe deals more damage to enemies in close quarters and pushes them back.’
When he attacks, his axe deals extra damage to enemies that are close to him and also knocks them back by about two tiles. If a troop is within 3.5 tiles of the Executioner, it takes almost double the usual damage.
With this ability, players can clear out big crowds of troops pretty easily if they place it right. Evo Executioner can fully encounter Elite Barbarians, Hog Rider, and even Ram Rider. His knock-back effect also works on flying troops, so he’s actually a solid counter to Balloon too.
Having said that, it can’t knock back big units like Giant or Lava Hound. But even then, they will still take the extra close-range damage, and when the Lava Pups spawn, Evo Executioner can one-shot all of them.
Best Evo Executioner Decks in Clash Royale
Evo Executioner Hog Rider Deck
This deck uses Hog Rider as the main win condition. You’ve got Valkyrie and Evo Executioner to back him up and take care of defense. The best combo here is using Tornado with the Evo Executioner. It pulls all enemy troops into one spot, and then Evo Executioner can hit all of them at once with his swing.
