Controversy and Disappointment Follow the Announcement of the Firework Season in Infinity Nikki

The long-awaited live stream featuring the details of version 1.2 has come and gone, and the players are still trying to get over all the overwhelming details. Let’s start by saying that the first look at the Firework Season made many Infinity Nikki players extremely happy. However, after paying closer attention, players worldwide were quite peeved to learn that some of the announced freebies were only for one part of the player base.

The Announcement of the Firework Season Featured Codes Only for the Chinese Mainland Server

If you’ve watched the livestream, you probably didn’t miss seeing the new codes for freebies. As you know, the devs love treating the players with some codes occasionally, to celebrate big occasions. It seems that they made the same decision for the start of the Firework Season.

However, as it turns out, the new codes are only for the Chinese Mainland server, not for the Global server, This means that the devs seemingly decided to give gifts only to one part of their player base, or they made a horrible oversight.

One player, Party-Assumption2520, wrote to Customer Service, and they reportedly confirmed this. Their reply read: “Hi, Stylist. We have not received any information about the redeem code for the new version yet. The redemption code in your screenshot is for the Chinese Mainland Server, so you cannot use it on the Global Server. We suggest you follow our official social media to get the latest information”.

Some Infinity Nikki Players Are Dreading the Next Season

Unfortunately, long-time Nikki fans weren’t as surprised as the newer players. They hoped that Infinity Nikki would be different, but the announcement of the Firework Season confirmed some of their concerns.

SweetMomoStyle noted: “Disappointing to see. I thought the whole point of all servers being released at once was so we all got the same treatment. Global always got fewer rewards compared to the Chinese server in Shining Nikki and I was hoping I wouldn’t have to deal with that in Infinity”.

The majority of players on Global servers were also concerned about what this would mean for the future. One player, que_sarasara, stated: “I’m really disliking the precedent that this sets. Fingers crossed they release global codes soon. Otherwise… yikes”.

Now, we truly hope that this was in fact just an oversight and that the devs will make things right soon. The devs have listened to the player base before, so they probably will listen now, as well. In the meantime, you can always contact Customer Service and express your dissatisfaction.
