Crashlands 2 is full of stuff to craft, whether its building pieces, furniture, weapons, and other useful accessories. However, like other games in the survival-crafting subgenre, players will first need to unlock the recipes needed to craft said items.
Item recipes in Crashlands 2 are fairly easy to come by, though this will involve persistence, luck, and a fair bit of wanderlust. If you want to get more craftable items in the game, here’s what you need to do.

How to Get More Crafting Recipes in Crashlands 2
There are a couple of ways to unlock more crafting blueprints in Crashlands 2. The first is to speak with Graal and ask him for Insight. If you talk to Graal or interact with a crafting bench, you’ll find the Insights tab at the top of your screen. Select that, and you’ll see a list of ideas that Graal can ponder about for a short while.
It can take anywhere from a couple of seconds to several minutes before Graal can complete an idea, but once he does, he’ll share what he found out with you, unlocking either crafting recipes or a variety of bonuses, such as ones that increase the drop rates of certain materials.
Asking Graal for Insight is free, and you’ll want to get everything he offers, especially early on. Not only does he have recipes for building homes, but he’ll also give you the recipe for the Talisman of Speeb, which boosts your movement speed. The latter is especially great for exploring the map or hunting down Juice Jems.
Quest Progression and Exploration
Some quests include crafting recipes as part of their rewards. That, or the quests themselves, may lead you to the locations of certain blueprints. Crashlands 2 is still a story-driven game, and while it’s easy to ignore that part, playing through the main questline is still recommended, as many parts of the game are locked behind it.
Side quests, like A Good Egg for pet taming, may also hide some neat crafting blueprints too. As a rule of thumb, we recommend doing every quest you come across. You’ll never know what they have in store for you.
Apart from quests, you may also find Crashlands 2 crafting recipes just by exploring the map. Look for boxes with gear icons painted on their sides. You won’t be able to tell what each box contains until you pick them up.
When exploring, we strongly recommend bringing Popcork Docks. You can use these to build bridges over water, allowing you to create shortcuts or make entirely new pathways to places you otherwise won’t be able to reach.
