Major spoilers ahead for Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion takes a bold step by offering an open-world experience, unlike its mostly linear predecessor. Fans have generally welcomed this change, but it has also raised questions about the game’s length. Many wonder if the shift to an open world means a longer campaign and more endgame content. We have the answer.
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion‘s vast world, featuring multiple biomes, does increase playtime compared to the previous game. This is especially true for players who explore the map and focus on side quests. However, those mainly interested in the main campaign should not expect an extensive storyline, as most casual players can complete the main missions fairly quickly.
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Main Campaign Length
Depending on the difficulty level, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion‘s campaign can take between 10 and 15 hours to complete. Most of the main story consists of back-to-back boss fights, leaving world exploration largely up to the player.
The campaign length is similar to its predecessor. The median time to beat Daemon X Machina (2019) was about 15 hours, according to HLTB. That said, players aiming for 100% completion had to invest over 50 hours. Titanic Scion‘s story mode also averages around 15 hours, though its endgame content may be more substantial, which we’ll cover later.
Keep in mind that campaign completion time depends on your play style. The 10 to 15-hour estimate applies to casual players. Speedrunners can finish the story much faster, while those tackling side quests and exploration alongside the main missions may need longer than 15 hours.
The good news is that almost all cutscenes can be skipped. But there’s a catch: players must skip cinematics shot by shot, requiring several button presses to end each.
How Long to 100% Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion
With its open-world design and numerous collectibles, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion can take the average player 60 to 90 hours to reach 100% completion. Finishing the story contributes little to the overall completion percentage. Most progress comes from exploring the world, clearing dungeons, collecting hidden items, and unlocking all equipment and armor sets.
Farming is also a key part of the gameplay, particularly for players aiming to upgrade their armor sets. Although our time estimates don’t account for gathering resources or farming money and Scraps, these activities can take up a significant amount of time, especially for those looking to fully max out their Arsenal.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion New Game Plus Explained
Hardcore mech game enthusiasts might wonder if Titanic Scion includes a New Game Plus and endgame content. The answer is yes, but with a twist. After defeating the final boss in the Showdown 2 mission, you are respawned at the start of the first Showdown mission. This essentially serves as the game’s free-roam mode, letting you explore the map and complete side quests.
Without spoiling too much, the campaign ends in a way that has seemingly made it difficult for the developers to integrate a seamless NG+ mode. As a result, they chose to show players the story’s conclusion before returning them to a point where none of the endgame events had occurred.
Best Way to Beat Titanic Scion’s Campaign
The best way to approach the campaign is to play up to the first Showdown mission. From there, focus on exploring the world and completing side missions before tackling the final Showdown mission. Alternatively, you could skip the story after unlocking all main biomes and return to it later when you’ve finished the open-world content. If story immersion isn’t a priority, you can also simply beat the game and continue playing after the credits.
You can start exploration as soon as you unlock the Forest and Mountains biomes.
