Destiny 2: Festival Flight God Roll

Destiny 2: Festival Flight God Roll

Solstice 2025 has arrived in Destiny 2 following the Edge of Fate expansion, which has changed quite a few systems for the game. Weapons and armor drops are now tiered, and with a special event like Solstice, it’s one of the best occasions to farm for higher-tier loot, including the Tier 5 Holofoil versions.

One of the new farmable weapons is Festival Flight, which is an Aerial Denial Frame Strand grenade launcher. Since Episode: Echoes, Aerial-Denial Frames have found a firm place in the PVE meta, and with Strand not yet receiving a grenade launcher in this archetype, Festival Flight is without a doubt the highlight of this year’s Solstice weapon pool.

How To Get Festival Flight During Solstice 2025

To get any of the Solstice weapon drops this year, including Festival Flight, look for any Portal activities (Solo, Fireteam, Crucible, Pinnacle) that have the Distorted Solstice engram icon when hovering over. This means that the final chest of the activity will contain Solstice rewards.

Destiny 2 Solstice Reward Track Engram

There’s also a separate Solstice reward track with challenges that refresh daily and help you progress through the track. Completing this reward track earns you tiered Solstice weapon engrams, which have a chance of containing one of the three weapons, including Festival Flight.

Destiny 2 Solstice 2025 Play Now Tab

Make sure to also check the Play Now sections for Solstice activities for extra loot. Right now, there’s no method to focus a drop, so your best bet is to grind out the shortest possible Solo Ops (K1 Logistics or Caldera) with a guaranteed Distorted Solstice engram drop. Festival Flight PVE God Roll

Destiny 2 Festival Flight Grenade Launcher

Hardcore PVE players will, of course, want to look for the Tier 5 Holofoil version of Festival Flight with that beautiful cosmetic effect and three different perk options in two of the perk columns, but in all honesty, any version of Festival Flight that drops with the Attrition Orbs perk is excellent.

This is because Attrition Orbs is a powerhouse of a perk for making Orbs of Power, and it activates on sustained damage on targets, which Aerial Denial Frames are absolutely perfect for. Orbs of Power are, of course, a necessity for charging your Super and, in some cases, to feed ability energy, so it’s easy to see why this perk is a must.

As always, this isn’t set in stone. There are other alternative perks that are worth considering. For example, instead of Ambitious Assassin, grenade-focused builds might benefit more from Demolitionist, and there’s also an argument to be made for Envious Arsenal for Festival Flight. In the second perk slot, Attrition Orbs is a clear winner, but Elemental Honing paired with Envious Arsenal could be an interesting DPS rotation combination to explore. One For All is also a decent pick here for any ad-clear builds.

Festival Flight is mainly a PVE weapon, and isn’t worth farming for any PVP purposes.
