Updated July 29, 2025: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. With a new week of content, Bungie is continuing to roll out new things for players to do in-game. This week sees Arms Week kick off in Destiny 2, with this first version of the event focusing on boosting Hand Cannons. In addition to powerful Volatile Mods, players can also obtain the Phoneutria Fera, a hand cannon that takes plenty of inspiration from shotguns.
In some not-so-great news, the recent Desert Perpetual raid in Destiny 2 may have been infiltrated by cheaters. Bungie is currently investigating reports of cheating by fireteams who were able to clear the raid in Contest Mode. Bungie also reiterated during the announcement that breaking the Code of Conduct is a bannable offense, though no details of the incident have yet to be revealed at the time of publish.
