Dig It Shovel tier list: All shovels ranked [Lunar New Year] (January 2025)

The launch of the Meteors update has increased Dig It‘s popularity among Roblox players, and there has been an influx of fresh newcomers to the game. Since then, the Lunar New Year event has been live over the last one week, and introduced one more Shovel.

Similar to Fisch, your Shovel is the single most important item inside the game. You can improve your Shovel with the help of enchantments, but you can also switch to better ones. Naturally, not every Shovel is equal, and you’ll specifically want to look out for the better ones.

Let’s look at how the shovels shape up in terms of their in-game effectiveness and stats.

Dig It S-tier shovels

Fortune Shovel	Strength: 30 Stamina Loss: 10% Loot Luck: 25% Precision: 45% Control: 45% Stability: 45% Max Weight: 50,000 kg	Might not be as good as the two other Shovels here, but offers an amazing Passive: Get 2x Luck Boost on every 5 digs for a short duration.

Dig It A-tier Shovels

Emperor’s	Strength: 30 Stamina Loss: 5% Loot Luck: 35% Control: 35% Stability: 45% Precision: 35% Max Weight: 7500 kg	Best odds for inflicting Golden modifier, which doubles the value of dug items.
Frosted	Strength: 28 Stamina Loss: 10% Loot Luck: 30% Control: 20% Stability: 35% Precision: 35% Max Weight: 5,000 kg	Buffs Precision by 24% in Permafrost, Control by 14% and Stability by 24%.
Lunar	Strength: 40 Stamina Loss: 11% Loot Luck: 30% Control: 40% Stability: 40% Precision: 40% Max Weight: 10,000 kg	Buffs are relatively limited, but it allows you to find items any time of the day that can otherwise only spawn at night.

Dig It B-tier Shovels

Glass	Strength: 35 Stamina Loss: 9% Loot Luck: 40% Precision: 25% Control: 30% Stability: 35% Max Weight: 5,000 kg	Offers one of the best luck in the game.
Magnet	Strength: 20 Stamina Loss: 10% Loot Luck: 30% Precision: 10% Control: 10% Stability: 10% Max Weight: 100 kg	Buffs Precision, Control, and Stability by 5% in Permafrost, but poor weight capacity and limited to only finding loot items.
Seer	Strength: 35 Stamina Loss: 7% Loot Luck: 25% Control: 35% Stability: 40% Precision: 40% Max Weight: 5,000 kg	It’s an A-tier rod in Badlands, but falls off sharply elsewhere. Has the bonus ability to catch Colossal Worm.
Snow	Strength: 20 Stamina Loss: 6% Loot Luck: 15% Precision: 30% Control: 30% Stability: 30% Max Weight: 3,000 kg	Loot Luck is pretty mediocre at best, but the Permafrost buffs stack to 14%.

Fossil	Strength: 35 Stamina Loss: 8% Loot Luck: 25% Precision: 30% Control: 35% Stability: 30% Max Weight: 2,000 kg	It’s a fun Shovel, but the low weight capacity is a letdown.
Industrial	Strength: 40 Stamina Loss: 6% Loot Luck: 30% Precision: 45% Control: 20% Stability: 45% Max Weight: 10,000 kg	High weight capacity that will allow you to discover bigger items, but its dig speed lets it down.
Pirate	Strength: 40 Stamina Loss: 5% Loot Luck: 25% Precision: 25% Control: 25% Stability: 20% Max Weight: 1,000 kg	It’s a fun Shovel, but the low weight capacity is a let down.
