DLSS 4 games: all supported titles so far

DLSS 4 games are the new standard and a main feature of the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 graphics cards. DLSS 4 and its multi-frame generation makes some impressive leaps for FPS, potentially enabling players to hit 240fps in 4K, with Ray Tracing, and maxed-out settings. Frame generation has its caveats but DLSS 4 is set to revolutionise gaming and applications.

Nvidia is always adding newly supported games and apps to its list, so we will update this as they go but at the time of writing, there are currently 75 games and apps that already support DLSS 4 from day one.

DLSS 4 vs DLSS 3

The standout difference in technology is the new multi-frame generation. DLSS 4 significantly increases performance by generating multiple additional frames for every traditionally rendered frame. The improved DLSS Ray Reconstruction leverages transformer-based AI models to replace multiple denoisers, significantly boosting ray tracing performance and image quality. Meanwhile, DLSS Super Resolution refines image clarity and sharpness beyond previous iterations, and DLAA delivers superior anti-aliasing for smoother visuals. New RTX technologies, such as RTX Mega Geometry for efficient ray-tracing calculations and RTX Hair Technology for realistic hair rendering, expand the scope of visual enhancements offered by DLSS 4. Additionally, the technology boasts performance multipliers of up to 8X compared to brute-force rendering, marking a substantial leap beyond the capabilities of DLSS 3.

Ray Tracing games to consider with DLSS 4

  • DOOM: The Dark Ages – The game integrates DLSS Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and Path Tracing, enhancing both performance and visual fidelity. Ray Reconstruction replaces traditional denoisers, enabling more realistic lighting and shadows. Path Tracing amplifies immersion in expansive environments.
  • Alan Wake 2 – An upcoming update introduces DLSS Multi Frame Generation, RTX Mega Geometry, and an Ultra-quality Ray Tracing preset. These technologies collectively enhance performance and realism, with improvements in ray-traced lighting, reflections, and overall scene detail.
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – The game features DLSS Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction, which replaces denoisers with AI models for improved ray-traced visuals. A future update will add RTX Hair Technology, further enhancing the game’s realism.
  • Dune: Awakening – The game upgrades its integration to include DLSS Multi Frame Generation, enhancing frame rates alongside ray-traced visuals of Arrakis, offering a stunningly detailed and immersive experience.

The integration of DLSS 4 with ray tracing technologies, such as Ray Reconstruction and Multi Frame Generation, is a common theme across several high-profile games, with many more to follow. These advancements allow for enhanced realism, superior lighting, and smoother performance, providing gamers with a significantly upgraded visual and immersive experience.
