Dragon’s Dogma 2 has released a new update, fixing a few persistent bugs that have continued to pester players of the action RPG. While no major features or new content have been added with the latest update, the bug fixes show that Capcom is still dedicated to improving Dragon’s Dogma 2 more than 10 months after its initial release.
The most recent Dragon’s Dogma 2 update before this one was at the tail end of October 2024. The big-ticket items on that update’s list corresponded to the developers getting ready to release a version of the game optimized for better graphics and performance on the PlayStation 5 Pro, adding PlayStation’s Spectral Super Resolution compatibility and a balanced mode that sits halfway between performance and graphics modes. However, it still included some benefits for players on other platforms, including fixing a bug that caused some Pawns to cease all actions after failing to use Levitate.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Best Party Combinations
Dragon’s Dogma 2 allows you to have three Pawns in your party. Here are the best combinations to have the perfect setup.
This time around, all entries on the list are for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of the game, and once again, the bug fixes address problems with Dragon’s Dogma 2‘s Pawns, ironing out three different issues that have stuck around for quite a while. Firstly, Pawns should no longer lead players to riftstones that they had already activated, as there had been a bug that would cause them to do that if a player’s party contained an open support Pawn slot. The update should also prevent Pawns from speaking lines that don’t match their specialization, and it also fixes a bug that was causing other players’ Pawns not to appear when using riftstones for players at exceptionally high levels. Specifically, this problem had been occurring for players with characters above level 998.
The monsters and enemies in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are some of its most beloved qualities, and the January update ensures that they’ll keep showing up, fixing a bug that had been requiring players to restart the game for lack of enemies. Finally, the update makes sure those enemies and other NPCs’ resistance to status anomalies is correctly reflected.
While this latest update only fixes a few bugs in the system, some fans are still eager for more content to be added to the game. They may eventually get their wish, as a datamining effort in November revealed a possible leak of planned Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC, including a multiplayer game mode.
