Razer has finally entered the vertical mouse game with their new Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition, and it’s been a long time coming. For those of us who’ve dealt with wrist pain from traditional mice, this is pretty big news.
The vertical mouse design isn’t new – companies like Logitech and Anker have been making them for years, but this is Razer’s first attempt, and they’ve brought their typical high-end approach to the ergonomic peripheral space. Let’s take a look at what they’re offering.

What Makes The Pro Click V2 Special
The Pro Click V2 Vertical is angled at 71.7 degrees, creating that “handshake” grip position that reduces strain on your wrist and forearm during long sessions. There’s a substantial thumb cutout and an extended base that keeps your wrist elevated, which should help with comfort during those marathon workdays. Unlike most ergonomic mice that sacrifice performance for comfort, Razer has packed this thing with their premium tech.
You get their Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which is the same one they put in their high-end gaming mice. It tracks at up to 30,000 DPI with 99.8% resolution accuracy, and it even works on glass surfaces if that’s your thing.
The mouse weighs about 150 grams, which is definitely heavier than gaming mice, but that extra weight helps stabilize your hand in the vertical position. After using lighter mice for years, that extra heft feels super reassuring when you’re making the switch to vertical.
Connectivity That Makes Sense
One of the more useful features is the 5-way multi-device support. You can connect to different devices using either Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless dongle (for the lowest latency), Bluetooth (for up to three separate devices), or a wired USB-C connection. There’s a dedicated button to toggle between devices, which is genuinely useful if you’re working across multiple computers. I’ve used similar setups with other mice, and it’s a small feature that makes a big difference in practical everyday use.
The battery life is impressive, up to six months with the RGB lighting turned off. Even with the lighting on, you’ll get weeks of use. And when you do need to charge, a five-minute quick charge via USB-C gets you another 2–3 days of use. That’s quite practical for those moments when you realize your mouse is dead right before an important meeting.
Buttons And Customization
Razer included six physical buttons, with eight programmable inputs total. That’s plenty for assigning your commonly used functions, and everything is customizable through Razer Synapse software. Speaking of customization, the mouse features an 18-zone Chroma RGB underglow. Yes, it’s completely unnecessary on a productivity mouse, but it does look nice, and you can always turn it off to save battery. The lighting can also serve practical purposes like notification alerts or battery status indicators.
In a very 2025 move, Razer has included something called AI Prompt Master, which is essentially a dedicated button for triggering AI tools like ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot. Press it, and you can quickly generate, summarize, or rephrase text without navigating through menus. It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it’s a sign of how AI integration is becoming standard in peripherals. The mechanical switches are rated for up to 60 million clicks, and Razer backs the mouse with a two-year warranty.
For anyone spending serious hours at a computer, the Pro Click V2 Vertical makes a strong case. It combines proper ergonomics with high-performance specs, and the multi-device functionality adds a lot of productivity value. At $119.99, it’s definitely in the premium peripheral category. That’s more expensive than basic ergonomic options, but in line with what you’d expect from Razer’s Pro line.
If you’re interested in making the switch to a vertical mouse, the Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition is available now directly from Razer and from major retailers.
