F1: The Movie Returns to IMAX Theatres Across India After Popular Demand

F1: The Movie is back in IMAX screens across India, just days after its initial run ended. Warner Bros. India confirmed the re-release in a post on X, writing, “Lights out, away we go! Back by popular demand, #F1TheMovie returns to IMAX with early morning shows!”

The studio had previously announced the end of the film’s IMAX run four days ago, following Superman’s IMAX release. But growing audience interest seems to have brought it back for another lap, now with early morning screenings.

In our review, we gave the film a 9/10, calling it “a high-speed blast of pure entertainment, mixing thrilling racing with sharp character work and a classic sports drama story that actually hits.”

The film features music by Hans Zimmer and is produced by Lewis Hamilton and Jerry Bruckheimer. It was shot during real F1 races to capture the atmosphere of the sport up close.

F1: The Movie released in Indian theatres on June 27, in multiple formats including IMAX and ScreenX, and dubbed in several Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Globally, the film has earned over $300 million at the box office. In India, it has grossed ₹69.75 crore as of July 13. It opened with ₹5.5 crore on its first Friday, followed by ₹7.75 crore on Saturday and ₹8.15 crore on Sunday.

Here’s a breakdown of its Indian box office so far:

  • Week 1: ₹35.5 crore
  • Week 2: ₹25.8 crore

As of now, there’s no word on when the movie will be available to stream online.
