Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition arrives next month with new content

It’s been 10 years since Fallout 4 debuted, and to mark that occasion, a new version of the game is being released soon. Announced by Bethesda Softworks during Thursday’s Fallout Day stream, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition will arrive in less than a month as a digital-only title.

The new collection, which has a Nov. 10 release date, will include all six of the previously released DLC add-ons, as well as over 150 items pulled from the Fallout 4 Creation Club, which focused on game changes and improvements from content creators. And there’s even more to Fallout to come across consoles and PC, including on Nintendo Switch 2.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition will be released on Switch 2 sometime in 2026, marking the first time a mainline Fallout game is on a Nintendo console. (Fallout Shelter and Fallout Pinball were released on Switch and Wii U, respectively.)

Add-ons featured in Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition include the DLC packs Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and all three Workshop expansions. That alone will add hours of playtime and several new mechanics to unlock. It’s unclear which Creation Club items will be included, but a press release from Bethesda mentions that some of the creations were previously unreleased and will include everything from “new weapons and different Dogmeat breeds like a husky or a Dalmatian, to gameplay tweaks and quest expansions.”

The Anniversary Edition will include an in-game creations menu that allows players to browse and install mods, with creators already working on content to be available at launch.

The addition of creations could make the possibilities of Fallout 4 endless, as the team behind the release noted that you can do everything from rebuilding a piece of the Fallout: New Vegas Mojave Desert to creating an escape room.

With a Nov. 10 release date, that gives Fallout fans a good amount of time to play through all of that content before the Burning Springs expansion comes to Fallout 76 in December.
