The latest patch brought plenty of things, including a Venom easter egg! However, something even cooler was added in the patch. Marvel Rivals players will be able to get the first Pick-Up bundle, and in it, the Venom Hyper Orange Costume and many other goodies.
The Pick-Up Bundle Contains a New Venom Costume
On March 27, the devs shared some details about the upcoming bundle. James, the Community Manager, took to Discord and revealed the bundle would drop on Friday, March 28, at 3 AM (CET).
James stated: “Venom is back – and he’s glowing with Hyper Orange fury. Unlock the Venom – Hyper Orange costume instantly with the new Pick-Up Bundle! Every 3 matches played equals 1 bonus reward. You could snag sprays, name tags, Chrono Tokens, and even a Costume Coin to redeem for another costume of your choice from a specific selection”.
As always, the dev shared a short trailer that showed the designs and explained the rules. So, what will you be able to get with this bundle? First up, you’ll immediately get the new Venom skin. After that, you’ll have to play three matches for every additional reward.
If you unlock all the rewards, you’ll end up with 200 Chrono Credits, a Spray, a Nameplate, and a Costume Coin! This Costume Coin will allow you to choose one additional Costume for free! However, it seems that you can choose from a devs’ selection, not from all the Costumes in-game.
Marvel Rivals Players Are Confused About the Price
Even though the majority of Marvel Rivals players love the idea of a Pick-Up bundle, and even the bright orange Venom Costume, many are confused about the pricing. There hasn’t been any official information on how much a player will have to pay for this bundle.
So, will this bundle be free? Or will it cost the same as any other Costume, and the rest of the items would be free? Well, some rumors claim that the bundle will cost slightly less than a regular Costume. Now, there is no proof that this is true, but according to several sources, that will be the case.
The players seem to approve of that, as they’d get an entire bundle for less than a Costume’s worth. King_3DDD noted: “I mean, it’s two skins for less than the price of just one skin. Seems like a pretty decent deal to me”.
With the Moon Knight and the Black Panther Costumes dropping at the same time as this bundle, players have a tough choice ahead of them. Truth be told, as Marvel vs. Capcom fans, we can’t wait to see the orange Venom in-game! In the meantime, enjoy, be nice, and we’ll see you out there.
