Final Fantasy 14 has officially scheduled its second Letter from the Producer LIVE for Patch 7.4 on December 5. This broadcast will highlight more information and gameplay footage for the next Final Fantasy 14 update, almost certainly including a teaser trailer as well.
On Halloween this year, Final Fantasy 14 had its 90th Letter from the Producer Live, which was also the first one covering Patch 7.4, Into the Mist. Players got their first look at the next Final Fantasy 14 update’s features, including a new dungeon and trial, fresh UI features, and an exciting overhaul to the glamour system.

Now, Final Fantasy 14 has locked down the date for its second and final Live Letter for the Patch 7.4 update. The official broadcast will start on December 5 at 3 AM PT/6 AM ET, and will likely run for a few hours. It is currently unclear if there will be a translator present for this Live Letter, but fans can expect English text on the various informational slides that will be shared regardless.

While it is unclear exactly what will be shown off during this Live Letter, players have a pretty good grasp of what to expect from these presentations by now. First and foremost, a new trailer for the patch will almost certainly be revealed, teasing developments in the Main Scenario, Cosmic Exploration, The Merchant’s Tale Variant Dungeon, and the conclusion of the Arcadion raid. Beyond that, director and producer Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida will also likely show off other new features, including Phantom Weapons, Jobs, and Accessories associated with the Occult Crescent in Final Fantasy 14, systems like the Strategy Board and Command Panel, and the class and level restriction removal for the glamour system.
There are a few things that likely won’t appear in this live letter, of course. The final leg of the Final Fantasy 11 crossover alliance raid, Housing updates, and Beastmaster limited job are just some of the Final Fantasy 14 features that are expected to arrive in Patch 7.5, along with plot setup for the game’s unannounced sixth expansion. Fans can expect to learn about these in the next Letter to be aired in a few months.
Patch 7.4 of Final Fantasy 14 releases on December 16, but players hoping to tackle the update’s new raid won’t have to worry about it during the holidays. Arcadion: Heavyweight Tier (Savage) won’t open until January 6, 2026, so fans can enjoy Christmas and the New Year before challenging the bosses in the last leg of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail‘s raid series.
