How do you Monday, babe? By getting a good night’s sleep, rising with the sparrows, eating a wholesome meal, and settling down at your desk with an airy mind and a glad heart? Or do you fester aimlessly till 5 in the morning then immediately watch 30 minutes of neck-sucking, dismemberment and plague because it speaks to your sorely disquieted soul?
There is no time to answer, for I have already embedded the latest talkthrough video for Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco’s medieval fantasy action RPG The Blood Of Dawnwalker, which still looks like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt plus vampires.

Quick recap of the premise: The Blood of Dawnwalker sees your charismatically scarred pretty boy Coen searching for his abducted family against a time limit. The game is broken into day-night cycles that are themselves broken into eight periods, with time paused inside each period till you interact with an hourglass icon and bring that period to an end.
Coen is a regular albeit suspiciously pale and unblinking Joe by day; he’ll walk around doing boring human things like interrogating people and making deductions, or hacking monsters up with a sword. By night, he’ll kick all that prosaic mortal nonsense to the curb and gain the ability to walk on walls, warp between rooftops, and slice armoured men to ribbons with his bare hands.
The more sentries he leaves in pieces, the more Notorious he may become, and the greater the guard presence in town. You’ll also want to feed him blood regularly if you don’t want him to suddenly become a spitting, biting dervish at random. At least one of the previous two sentences also describes my cat.
This game suggested by the footage above seems fine to me. I mean, I think Coen has all the personality of week-old Coca Cola, but there’s an entertaining if confusing range of pantomime British accents among the smallfolk. Cor blimey me old seadog, t’vampire’s been at mill. The Blood Of Dawnwalker – which I keep wanting to call Blood Of The Dawnwalker, The Blood Of The Dawnwalker and 2Dawn Or Not 2Walk: That Is The Questing – Bloodlines – will release sometime in 2026.
