“General Brasch Wouldn’t Approve” Helldivers 2 Players Reveal How to Become Invincible Through Undemocratic Means

The battle for Super Earth is quite chaotic. Lots of things happen, some of which are out of the players’ control. In all that mayhem, some players accidentally (or not) become traitors. However, becoming a traitor comes with an unexpected perk. Helldivers 2 players discovered that they could quite easily become invincible! Let’s see what atrocities you have to commit to get to this stage.

You Can Become an Invincible Traitor

We’ve all been there, right? You get blown away out of bounds, or you accidentally cross there yourself, and a counter starts, giving you 10 seconds to return. If you don’t, you are marked a traitor and get blown away. We’ve heard that if you kill “enough” civilians (accidentally or on purpose), you can also be marked a traitor. However, we haven’t tested this theory, we’re way too democratic for that.

One player, Muaxh03, posted a video showing how they became barrage-proof after being proclaimed a traitor. According to the OP: “If you wear a shield and become a traitor, the barrage won’t damage you”.

The video shows the OP strutting around, doing the “phonk walk“, all while being targeted. However, they don’t get killed, just slightly moved when they get hit. The OP compared this glitch to the one when the Helldivers with a shield didn’t suffer any damage from melee attacks.

The Number of Traitors in Helldivers 2 Will Skyrocket

Unsurprisingly, but slightly worrisome, Helldivers 2 players don’t seem to mind becoming traitors just to be invincible. The community was quite intrigued by this, well, glitch, and many Helldivers noted they’d try it out.

One player, Anthraax, suggested: “It’d be crazy if a whole squad got together and did this for the ‘Repel the Invasion’ mission. Doesn’t work as well solo, but I’m sure some determined individual could make it work“.

TZIG1 admitted: “I had this happen a couple of hours ago after setting off a hellbomb… It’s like a personal barrage for when you want to run through hordes of squid”. Other players joked this would make them into a true walking barrage.

Overall, the community will definitely take advantage of this glitch until the devs fix it. We have to admit, it’s tempting, but we want to be good role models for all the new cadets. The battle on Super Earth rages on, and Helldivers need some help protecting the precious SEAF troops, so let’s try to complete the current Major Order. For Liberty and Super Earth.
