Genshin Impact Second Half Banners for Version 6.2 are great news for Natlan fans

Genshin Impact has officially unveiled the Event Banners for the second half of Version 6.2, as Gaming, Chevreuse, and Iansan will join Xilonen and Varesa in a stacked lineup of reruns. With Genshin Impact entering the second phase of Version 6.2, there is a growing excitement in its community: a new map expansion for Nod-Krai is on the way, and it brings Columbina with it. As the region’s equivalent to an Archon, Columbina is expected to elevate Nod-Krai characters to a whole new level.

However, before Columbina can make her debut in Genshin Impact, there are some important reruns to go through. Chief among them belongs to Varesa and Xilonen. As a character, Varesa established herself as a dedicated Electro hypercarry for the Plunging Attack play style. She is one of the strongest damage dealers in the entire game, and has a flexible selection of teammates to choose from โ€“ for either Aggravate or Overload builds. On the other hand, Xilonen remains one of the best support characters in Genshin Impact, an almost universal option for a wide variety of hypercarries.

Is Durin Worth Pulling In Genshin Impact?

Durin’s versatility makes him an appealing character to pull for in Genshin Impact, but is he worth it?

Genshin Impact: Second Half Banner Characters for Version 6.2

Varesa โ€“ 5-Star Electro Catalyst

Xilonen โ€“ 5-Star Geo Sword

Gaming โ€“ 4-Star Pyro Claymore

Chevreuse โ€“ 4-Star Pyro Polearm

Iansan โ€“ 4-Star Electro Polearm

Both Genshin Impact characters will make a banner appearance during the second half of Version 6.2, but the real value arguably lies in it’s featured 4-Stars. Xilonen and Varesa will be paired up with Gaming, Chevreuse, and Iansan. Gaming remains a powerful Pyro hypercarry, despite being a 4-Star character, whose ability kit scales extremely well with Constellations. Chevreuse is a premium option for Overload teams, providing major buffs to the Elemental Reaction on top of performing the role of a healer. Lastly, Iansan can best be described as the reverse Bennett โ€“ providing a flat ATK buff that scales with movement, rather than restricting it, making Iansan ideal for hypercarries who can’t stand still, such as Varesa, Xiao, Clorinde, or even Gaming himself.

Taking this into account, players can feasibly create a budget Overload team (Gaming, Chevreuse, Iansan, Fischl) from Version 6.2 using only its banner characters and the free Hexerei summon gained by completing the tutorial for the Witch’s Homework in Genshin Impact. While veteran accounts have no doubt already established their primary teams, this patch is a great entry point for newcomers who may wish to try the Overload play style.

However, there is a very important point to consider: the upcoming Event Banners in Version 6.3 and the lack of Primogems in Version 6.2. With a limited number of Intertwined Wishes awarded by both Version 6.1 and Version 6.2, most players will need to make a choice: seize the opportunity to stock up on some of the best 4-Star characters in Genshin Impact, or save their pulls for Columbina (and potentially Zibai as well). Recently datamined information points towards Columbina and Neuvillette headlining the first half of Version 6.3, with Zibai and Ineffa featuring in the second half.

For players enamored by Lunar Reactions and Nod-Krai characters, the Event Banners in Version 6.2 are a necessary skip. Conversely, players who prefer the new Hexerei system should refrain from spending their Primogems during Version 6.3, as Version 6.4 is expected to feature Varka and Lohen โ€“ both Knights of Favonius characters, with the latter one being a new Standard Banner character in Genshin Impact.

The Event Banners for the second phase are set to debut on December 23, 2025, and will run until the launch of Version 6.3. An amusing detail to point out is that Varesa’s rerun banner is identical to her debut banner, featuring the exact same trio of 4-Star characters. As such, players who pulled for Varesa in Genshin Impact during Version 5.5 may not gain as much value the second time around. Version 6.3 is expected to launch on January 14, 2026.
