Lego just launched its F1 Mini Race Car Collection in May, but you can already save 33% on a mystery box with six vehicles. The discount drops the price from $30 to $20 and is available at Amazon, Walmart, and Target. Amazon is likely to sell out first, as this limited-time deal is over 60% claimed at the time of writing.
The new collection of race cars features 12 different designs to collect. Normally, the mystery box essentially gets you one car for free, as individuals are sold for $5 each. But with the current discount on the mystery box, you’re only paying $3.33 per car. You’re very unlikely to get a duplicate in one box, though you’ll need to pick up multiple boxes if you want to complete your lineup–and buying more than one typically leads to duplicates. In that regard, it’s similar to the Lego Minifigure Mystery Box, which gets you a random assortment of six Lego minifigures for $29.
$20 (was $30)
The F1 Mini Race Car series includes vehicles from Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Marin, Sauber, and Alpine, among others. Each car has authentic details, such as team helmets and color schemes. Since the wheels move, these collectibles also double as toy cars for young racing fans.
You’ll find 174 pieces inside the Lego F1 Mini 6-Pack, with each car consisting of 26 pieces. Each car is also sealed inside their very own mystery box, giving you six surprises to unwrap with your purchase. Inventory is selling out fast at Amazon, so check Walmart and Target if you need a backup.
Looking for more F1 building sets from Lego? There are a bunch of recently released Lego Speed Champions to check out. These cost $27 each, feature around 250 pieces, and the completed builds measure roughly eight inches. They’d look great next to the above Lego F1 Minis, so consider picking up your favorite to display with your six minis.
Lego Speed Champions F1 Lineup
A Lego Speed Champions Ultimate Collector’s Pack with all of the cars listed above was previously available for $270, but the Amazon-exclusive release quickly sold out at launch earlier this year.
Beyond the Lego Speed Champions, you’ll find a few Lego City F1 products up for grabs. A couple of them are on sale, too. The McLaren Race Car is only $9 (was $13), while the Williams Racing & Haas Race Car two-pack is down to $16 (was $20).
