As you probably know by now, the latest Major Order introduced a whole new strain of Terminids. Players fought valiantly on Fenrir III, the MO target planet, and for now, it’s safe. However, that nasty Predator strain of bugs has spread to Erata Prime, so Helldivers 2 players have to put a stop to this outbreak.
The Predator Strain Popped Up on Erata Prime
It’s been an exciting weekend for Helldivers. The defense of Fenrir III was simultaneously terrifying and extremely fun. Players were impatient for some new content, and the devs delivered. So, Helldivers tried their best and completed the Objective of the MO quite quickly. The only thing left to do now is to be on the lookout for new attacks, right?
Well, completing the Objective didn’t stop the Predator bugs from spreading. They popped up on a neighboring planet, Erata Prime. All veterans know that the conditions on Erata Prime are, um, less than ideal. However, at the time of writing this article, Helldivers have things under control. They are making steady progress, and the DSS is helping out.
Helldivers 2 Players Don’t Mind Squishing Predator Bugs
Unsurprisingly, Helldivers 2 players had a lot to say about the Predator bugs spreading to Erata Prime. Players were actually excited to get some more time to squish the new bugs. Furthermore, social media is overflowing with memes.
Of course, Helldivers had many theories about where these bugs were coming from. Sure, we know they are coming from the Gloom, but, apparently, they could be coming from one specific planet. One Helldiver, thepetrlik, noted: “They are coming from Hellmire, my friend. We need to secure Erata Prime and be ready to attack Hellmire once Super Earth High Command gives us a new MO”.
That would be something, wouldn’t it? There are some rumors of expeditions into the Gloom, but no one mentioned Hellmire so far. However, since both Fenrir III and Erata Prime are connected to Hellmire, well, one has to assume that’s where these horribly mutated creatures are coming from.
So, dear Helldiver, get ready, it seems that this is just the beginning. The community will need some time to figure out the best way to deal with these new enemies, but for now, many suggest you should bring the FRV. Some even suggested a melee weapon, like the hatchet, but truth be told, we wouldn’t suggest that. However, we would suggest diving with a team, we all need support in these trying times.
