Gully Gangs: Street Cricket is one of the few mobile cricket games to bring players a village backdrop experience, a feature that truly sets it apart from other cricket titles. The Village Map is one of the two backdrops available in the game, the other being the City Map.
To try it out, simply head to the main menu, tap on Quick Match, and select Village Map as your setting.
The Village Map Setup
The Village Map is designed as a compact ground with a mud cricket pitch at its center, surrounded by:
- Trees, huts, haystacks, and bicycles.
- Cows, carts, and goats are moving around, adding to the authentic rural vibe.
- Mountains and palm trees in the distance, with powerlines running across the backdrop.
- A giant Hanuman statue towering over the houses adds a cultural touch.
- Birds flying across the sky and the sound of goats “maah” in the background, bringing the setting to life.
This setup captures the essence of rural India, making the gameplay feel refreshingly different from typical stadium or city-based cricket games.

Features, including boundaries, game play, bowling options, mini maps (which show field placements with dots), catch meter (top left corner), scoreboard (bottom), control settings, emoji reaction, camera icon remains the same from the City Map.
Gameplay Features:
- Boundaries and fielding zones.
- Bowling options (fast, in-swing, out-swing, off-spin, leg-spin).
- Mini-map showing field placements.
- Catch the meter on the top left corner.
- Scoreboard at the bottom of the screen.
- Control settings, emoji reactions, and camera icon for customization and fun.
- Players can choose between 1v1 or 4v4 contest formats, just like in the City Map.
Villages are often seen as a peaceful getaway from the busy hustle of city life — fresh air, greenery, and a slower pace. Similarly, playing cricket in the Village Map offers a refreshing twist to the usual street cricket setting, giving players an immersive and enriching experience.
