Helldivers 2 Leaks Share Details About the Rumored High Efficiency Thruster Pack

Seeing something awesome that’ll come can usually help one overcome the current struggles. So, we believe that many Helldivers 2 players will be very pleased to see that a High Efficiency Thruster Pack was in the works, according to some leaks. Sounds quite similar to the Jump Pack, right? Well, you might be surprised!

What Is the High Efficiency Thruster Pack?

One very devoted leaker, Tier5NPC, shared their exciting findings on Reddit. This leaker explained that this leaked Stratagem currently didn’t have a model. Instead, the Jump Pack model was used in all renditions.

The OP noted: “The High Efficiency Thruster Pack or if you want High Efficiency Lift Pack (H.E.L.P for slag because it sounds funny) is a more powerful and heavy variation of the Lift-850 Jump pack”.

According to Tier5NPC, if you were to use the leaked Pack, you’d be able to jump much higher than with the Jump Pack. Also, you’d have more control while ascending, which could result in shooting more accurately. However, the OP stated that even though you’d be more accurate, it would still require a lot of effort. Also, it’s important to note that the leaked Stratagem has a longer cooldown than the Jump Pack.

The OP added: “Thanks to the higher elevation the Pack gives with little distance covered this allows the Helldiver to perform a curved “high jump” over enemies and blast everything underneath them with little worry to trip and fall on landing”. Meridia survivors might compare it to those Dark Fluid Jump Packs.

The OP concluded: “So if you want to run and gun the Lift-850 Jump pack is your go-to. If you want to scream I have the high ground and rain hell from above the H.E Jump pack is your pick for the operation”.

Helldivers 2 Players Aren’t Sure the H. E. Thruster Pack Will Be Worth It

Sure, the leaks of the High Efficiency Thruster Pack were quite exciting, but some Helldivers 2 players have concerns that this Stratagem wouldn’t be as useful as one might think. The long cooldown seems to be one of the biggest issues.

Lone_Recon added: “Well it’s interesting, I don’t see this being worth it unless it allows you to hover a bit. Unless the reason it has no model is because it’s going be an alt mode for the Jump Pack”. Another player stated: “Hmm… this one seems a bit too situational”.

Aside from remarks like those, players were genuinely excited about the new Stratagem. One player, lucky069, noted: “I loved the Jump Pack before they buffed it and gave it forward momentum. I definitely will use this Jump Pack. Getting up bot castles, getting up city buildings, rocks on any planet. If the momentum stays as shown here I’ll use this Jump Pack a lot for my playstyle”.
