“Here We Go Again…” The Latest Major Order Asks Helldivers 2 Players to Complete Stage II of Stopping the Meridian Singularity

As you probably know by now, the previous MO failed. Helldivers watched in horror as Moradesh was blown to pieces. Tensions in the community grew as players debated whether the MOs became too complicated or the bugdivers were to blame. Well, for the next several days, the players will be on the bug front. So, they ought to win this one! The High Command issued a Major Order that started Stage II of the plan to stop the Meridian Singularity, and Helldivers 2 get to fight the Predator strain again.

How Does the Major Order Help Stage II?

The Major Order arrived on March 14, and with it, the players received a briefing. It briefly reflects on the devastating loss of Moradesh and Angel’s Venture and warns players that it’s time to act.

The briefing explains that the Center of Science came up with a multi-stage plan to stop the Illuminate. The partial blockade of the Singularity that was achieved in the previous MO was Stage I.

Stage II has begun with the current Major Order, and Helldivers 2 players will try their best to help out. You see, according to the briefing: “Stage II is the construction of the Penrose Energy Siphon: a means by which to effect a large one-time reduction in Dark Energy Accumulation. The process is highly scientific and sophisticated”.

The scientists noted: “It’s a giant rocket that we put close enough to the Singularity to be swept up in its rotation, but not so close that it falls in, and then blasts back out using tons and tons of E-710, thereby stealing some of the Singularity’s energy. Hail Super Earth”.

Since this device will be constructed piecewise in the orbits of several planets, Helldivers need to hold those planets. Also, the scientists need lots of fuel for this project, so Helldivers have to collect lots of E-710.

So, Helldivers have to hold four planets when the MO ends (Achernar Secundus, Ursica XI, Fenrir III and Heeth). At the time of writing this article, Achernar Secundus and Fenrir III are under attack. Both of these defenses are predicted to fail.

Helldivers Have no Time to Lose

Mere hours before this MO was issued, Helldivers watched Moradesh fall. This caused a strong reaction in the community, and players are ready to avenge all the souls lost on this planet. What better way to do that than squashing some bugs?

EliTheFarmer noted: “Well then! That’s enough mourning for Moradesh. Time to wipe those tears away and hop to it laddies! A Helldiver’s job is never done! Tally ho and Hellpods away”.

As for a strategy, well, in MOs like this one, it’s best to follow the crowd, that’s the only way something can get done. So, dear diver, get your gear on, maybe even try out something overlooked, and we’ll see you among the bugs. For Liberty and Super Earth.
