Here’s our first trailer for Netflix’s Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft season two

The team behind Netflix anime Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has given us a peek at what’s in store for season two.

The new trailer features Lara along with Sam – a character first introduced by Rhianna Pratchett in 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot – getting into all sorts of japes. This includes Lara punching a shark on the nose, much like she did in the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider film Cradle of Life. They also take some time to drink coffee, because who wants to raid a tomb without a hit of caffeine to grease the axels?

Speaking of axels, we also see Lara using her twin climbing axes, another key piece of equipment from the rebooted Survivor timeline. You can check out the trailer for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft below.

“Lara races across the globe to uncover ancient African relics before a techno-visionary bent on playing god uses them to unleash worldwide destruction,” reads the official blurb.

Hayley Atwell returns for the second season as the voice of Lara Croft, as does Earl Baylon as Jonah. Joining the cast this season is Karen Fukuhara (The Boys, Suicide Squad) as Sam.

Season two of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will be available on Netflix on 11th December. This season will be the series’ last.

Elsewhere in Tomb Raider news, earlier this year Sophie Turner was announced as Amazon’s Lara Croft for its own TV series, which is being helmed by Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
