Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans have an exciting month ahead of them with the release of the game’s second major update. New Horizons 3.0 will add a series of new features to the game, bringing back players who haven’t returned to the game in months, maybe even years.
24 Rarest Items In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
These items are seen so rarely in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that it’s quite incredible when players get their hands on them.
The 3.0 content is nearly here, and players will want to prepare their islands so that they can start exploring all the new features as soon as they’ve downloaded the update, rather than having to grind it out during its first few days live before being able to get the most out of these features.
Build Your Furniture Catalog
In the upcoming Animal Crossing update, Kapp’n’s family will open a hotel on the island, and players will have to help out by decorating the guests’ rooms. Each room will have its own theme, and players will have to find furniture and decorations that match it. For example, for the Seaside Room, which is shown in the trailer, gamers must go through their furniture catalog and decorate the room with items that go with the kind of style that is requested.
Therefore, it is important that players expand the number of items and variants available in their furniture catalog, so they have a wide selection of items when the update comes out.
Purchase Clothes that Match the Island Vibe
Guests at the hotels will be able to borrow clothes from the mannequins in the reception. They will wear these outfits during their stay. Therefore, players should look through their wardrobe at home to check if they have the right items for the mannequins at the hotel. They might just be missing a key item that would pull the entire outfit together.
If that is the case, they will want to visit the Able Sisters’ shop until the day of the update to see if they have the right articles of clothing for their island outfit. This can, of course, be an outfit that’s fit for the beach, a silly costume, or anything else – it is entirely up to the player to decide what they want the guests to wear.
Prepare Your Amiibo and Amiibo Cards
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will receive four Nintendo characters as amiibo with Update 3.0. Players will be able to invite Mineru and Tulin from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Cece and Viché, villagers inspired by Callie and Marie from Splatoon, to their island. Cece and Viché are returning characters from Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but the Zelda characters are brand-new villagers. These characters will hang out at the player’s campsite, and just like any other villager that visits it, they can be persuaded to move to the island.
Additionally, players can use their amiibo and amiibo cards to invite players to stay at Kapp’n’s family resort. Unlike campsite visitors, hotel guests can wander around the island, so players may see them at the museum, shopping, or simply walking around and seeing the sights.
Stock Up on Crafting Materials
Players will finally be able to bulk craft after the update goes live, so it’s time to prepare. Gamers can stock up on materials now and craft as many items as they want without breaking a sweat later.
This isn’t the only good reason to start piling up resources; players will have to gather hotel tickets to purchase special items. To obtain hotel tickets in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, fans will have to craft items and hand them over to Tom Nook. This will surely require all sorts of materials and resources. So, it’s best to start farming now, so they don’t have to worry about it once they have their hands full.
Add All Your Friends on Switch
Gamers will be able to decorate a whole new island with an upcoming Slumber Island feature. This task will be even more fun if they invite over some friends and get them to help terraform and decorate. Switch 2 players can ask even more friends to come to their island. One of Update 3.0’s exclusive Switch 2 features is that players can have up to 12 people on their island at the same time.
Therefore, players want to make sure that they’ve added all of the friends that they’d like to come over so that they can easily host an island event.
Don’t Redo Your Entire Island Before the Update
Players who are making a return to Animal Crossing: New Horizons might feel tempted to get their island set up for the update, but it’s best if they wait until it’s actually here to start working on it. Nintendo will improve Resetti’s services in this new update, and the cleanup will be better than ever.
Resetti will help players clean up their island by moving unwanted flowers, furniture, and decorations. He can put them away or trash them – it is up to the player to decide. This will make outdoor decorating much easier, as players won’t have to individually remove items and go back and forth between their house to put away anything that they want to store. On top of this, storage is also receiving a major update – it will increase to 9,000 items, and players will also now be able to store trees, shrubs, and flowers.
Save As Many Bells As You Can
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons update will make it much easier for players to remodel their island. This means that they will have to move homes and buildings, destroy and build bridges and ramps, and purchase decorations. This costs a lot of money, so players will want to make sure that they’ve saved up some Bells so that they can pay Tom Nook to get all of this work done.
On top of this, there will certainly be new items for players to obtain. And, they will also need to buy the storage capacity expansion so they can safely store everything. Players will need thousands of Bells to do all of this, so they’d better start saving while they can.
Start Farming Nook Miles
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will receive an array of new items in Nook Shopping in Update 3.0. Dozens of LEGO items and clothing are coming to the game through this platform. The Legend of Zelda items that were shown in the trailer will also most likely be sold via Nook Shopping.
This means that if players want to get their hands on all of these awesome, exclusive items, they will need to have plenty of Nook Miles ready to go when the update drops. To make sure that they can order as many items as possible per day, they should start completing their daily tasks and unlocking as many Nook Miles as they can.
