We’re partway through the Summer season in BitLife, and what better way to celebrate it than with a themed challenge? The Dog Days of Summer challenge is all about adopting dogs and caring for them while juggling the struggles that come with being a famous baseball player.
BitLife Dog Days of Summer challenge guide
BitLife’s Dog Days of Summer challenge has five objectives to complete:
- Be born in Indiana
- Adopt five or more dogs
- Own a mastiff named Hercules
- Become a famous baseball player
- Have a baby named Ruth
You’ll need to own either the Athlete special career pack or Boss Mode for this challenge. This particular pack lets you become a famous baseball player. It’s impossible to pursue this job without it.
Be born in Indiana
The first task of BitLife’s Dog Days of Summer challenge is to create a character born in Indiana. To do this, make any character whose starting location is Indianapolis, Indiana, within the United States. As a bonus, choose Sports as your special talent to make a future task much easier.
For this challenge, it doesn’t matter what the rest of your stats look like. You can also choose any name and gender you wish. However, you’ll want to watch your health and cure any ailments you pick up, as having high athleticism is key to finishing the challenge. You also want to make sure you join your high school baseball team and work hard to become captain.
Adopt five or more dogs
The next task requires you to adopt five or more dogs. To do this, head into Activities and Pets. You’ll find the Animal Shelter, Dog Breeders, and a Pet Store as options. It’s up to you which you choose, as the only important part is adopting five dogs through these menus.
Own a mastiff named Hercules
Along the way, you’ll need to own a mastiff named Hercules. Pick Dog Breeder from the previous menu and scroll through until you see mastiff. If you don’t find them right away, close and reopen BitLife or age up and recheck the list. From here, select any mastiff, pay the adoption fee, and name it Hercules to complete the task.
Since adopting a dog from a breeder usually costs a few thousand in-game dollars, you may need to pick up a part-time job or work freelance. You can also wait until you make money from your baseball career before doing this.
Become a famous baseball player
Speaking of baseball, it’s time to capitalize on your school team from before. As your character enters their teenage years, you’ll be able to join school teams, including a baseball team. If it doesn’t appear in this list, close and reopen BitLife again or try again in university.
If you join the team in your first school year and work hard, you’ll eventually climb up the ranks to team captain. Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible for the pro draft, allowing you to become a baseball player. As long as you work hard, improve your fitness, and rank high each season, you’ll eventually become famous and finish this objective.
Have a baby named Ruth
The last task of BitLife’s Dog Days of Summer challenge is to have a baby named Ruth. The easiest way to do this is to have your character hook up with a random NPC and choose to take your chances without protection. Alternatively, you can pursue a romantic relationship and have children through your spouse’s interactions. Once you have a child, name it Ruth to complete the challenge and claim a mystery cosmetic prize.
