Hard to find, harder to get into.
PEAK‘s Mesa biome has plenty of mysteries littered across the region, and one such area is the tomb, which can be pretty easy to miss.
This place, like the capybara spawn location, is entirely random, but it is much harder to spot. This guide will help you clear your doubts about the place, including certain features that appear, and bugs (the software type, not the insects).
How to locate the tomb in PEAK?
The tomb’s exact location might be random, but it’s always located in the first part of the Mesa biome. If you don’t want to move around aimlessly, I recommend using the game’s official Discord server. It’s the largest PEAK community on social media, and other players will be more than willing to help you out.
While the exact location of the tomb varies daily, they appear at the same spot on every seed. This makes it relatively easy to find the elusive spot. If you still want to give it a try, you can always try to find the place on your own. Make sure to use items like Aloe Vera and Sunscreen to combat the heat.

How to access the tomb in PEAK?
Once you reach the correct location, look for a hole within a rocky outcropping. Typically, they’re easier to spot from a height. However, the entrance isn’t high itself, and goes deep into the underground.
The tomb won’t be open on all days. This is part of the design mechanism. You can use a mod to bypass this limitation, but you can avoid that if you want to stay squeaky clean.
Once inside, navigate the lean path and make your way to the spot where you’ll find the Ancient Idol. This Idol itself can protect you from certain hazards, but it’s better to throw it into the lava to complete one of the hardest badges in the entire game.
