How to get and use Adoring Fan in Oblivion Remastered

The beloved Adoring Fan returns in Oblivion Remastered, still loyal, chatty, and endlessly obsessed. He isn’t available from the start and only appears after completing a specific questline tied to your rise in fame. Here’s how to unlock the Adoring Fan and make the most of your enthusiastic follower.

You can encounter the Adoring Fan after you’ve earned the Grand Champion title in the Arena ranks. To reach this tier, you’ll fight to survive through more than 20 fights. Even if you have a lower difficulty set, these showdowns can still be utterly challenging, especially when it’s three against one. Do your best to increase your levels and rank title until it’s time to speak to Ysabel Andronicus, who will be across from Owyn at the Arena Bloodworks.

Ysabel will tell you about the reigning Grand Champion, known across the Arena as “The Gray Prince.” But before you step into the ring, you’ll need to confront him face-to-face. Seek out Agronak gro-Malog, who’s stationed nearby. Speak with him to issue your challenge, then return to Ysabel to begin the ultimate battle.

How to defeat the Gray Prince

Unlike previous matches, the fight against the Gray Prince comes with fewer restrictions. You’re free to wear any armor and loot corpses during the battle. While that works in your favor, there’s a catch—the Gray Prince wears an enchanted Raiment of Valor, offering robust protection against even your strongest hits. As you start the match, you’ll also need to choose a title first with Ysabel. Options like The Iron Maiden, The Divine Avenger, and The Butcher are available. They don’t affect gameplay, so pick whatever sounds the most legendary to you.

Now it’s time to face the Gray Prince, swift in movement and ruthless in every strike. Your best strategy is to parry his attacks, leaving him vulnerable for a few crucial seconds. Once the fight ends, loot his body to claim Agronak’s Raiment. This item is required to unlock the Grand Champion Arena rank. Bring it to Ysabel as proof of your worth.

Ysabel will transform the Gray Prince’s armor to better suit you, crafting it into either the Heavy or Light Raiment of Valor. You’ll also earn 1,000 gold, more than enough to acquire rare materials and gear. As you leave the Arena, the Adoring Fan will pop up like a daisy, showering you with his undying devotion and admiration.

When the Adoring Fan approaches you, select “Follow your esteemed Grand Champion!” to unlock him. He’ll follow you from now on, no matter where you go—even into the heat of battle, unwavering in his loyalty.

Talk to the Adoring Fan to command him to either wait or follow your every move. If he becomes too much to handle, you can send him on his way. Those who lose or reject him can always find him waiting outside the Arena, ready to rejoin your side. Although he doesn’t have many uses outside of these features, you can always count on him for a compliment.

If the Adoring Fan somehow dies during combat, don’t fret—he’ll mysteriously rise from the grave and return to you within three days.
