How to get better gear in Fellowship

Gear in Fellowship plays a vital role, irrespective of which character you pick, and you’ll have to get better equipment to complete the mid and endgame content.

Sadly, the game doesn’t do a good job at explaining how gear works and how to improve yours. This guide will list all the steps to help you get improved gear and establish your builds.

How to start getting gear in Fellowship

The first step is to clear the tutorial, which will introduce you to your Stronghold. This is where you can start a new game. You can either opt for Quickplay or the Ranked (Challenge) mode. Whether you’re playing in Quickplay or Challenge, you can get new gear after a successful run.

When you’re just starting, most of your gear will be at Level 1, and many slots will be empty.

  • After finishing a run in Quickplay, you’ll get Marks of Fellowship and Supplies. You can use your Supplies to buy Level 15 gear.
  • In Challenge, you’ll want to start Contender 1, 2, and 3 dungeons as early as possible. The harder the difficulty, the better it is. Do note that Contender 3 should be your desired entry point, but it’s harder than Quickplay. Completing a Contender 3 dungeon will get you a Level 30 gear piece and some Gold.

Best tips for getting better gear in Fellowship

There are some tricks you can follow to start obtaining better gear quickly.

  • Playing at higher difficulty settings is better. While the risk of failure is high, you can only get the best rewards by challenging yourself against tougher enemies.
  • Getting gear is massively luck-based, so don’t be disappointed if you’re unable to get a particular gear that you’ve been looking for a long time.
  • Use the Scrapper and Blacksmith to fill in spots that are vacant for a particular character.
  • Try to take all your gear pieces to Level 60, which is good enough for clearing the endgame content.

That’s pretty much all you can do to find good gear in Fellowship that will help you to improve your builds.
