Here’s how you can finally leave the Far Fields.

While progressing through Hollow Knight: Silksong, you may have noticed its proclivity towards highly complex level designs, usually leading to you getting “stuck” for a while, trying to piece together a way out.

One of the more convoluted regions are the Far Fields, the region just after the Deep Docks, which can easily cause you to run around in circles, wondering where to go. So, to help you get out of there and into the ominous Greymoor zone, here’s what you need to do.

Hollow Knight Silksong Far Fields guide – Where to go and what to do

As soon as you enter the Far Fields from the Deep Docks, you’re going to want to head straight ahead, i.e., right. When in the big room with the winds blowing upward, you’re going to jump a few platforms down, then continue heading right. This will bring you to a big lava room with a huge bony platform and smaller stone ones leading across it. Continue on your path until you’ve reached the room with huge wooden platforms and a massive tent in its middle.

This is the most important bit for getting out of the Far Fields, since there is a mandatory quest waiting for you in this huge tent.

Enter the tent and speak to the Seamstress, who will urge you to get her some Flexible Spines. You will be asked to make a promise to her, which is where you should say Yes when prompted.

After that, you’ll need to hunt down Hokers, strange bug creatures with blades protruding out of their heads. Most of them are located to the very right of the Seamstress‘ tent, in a separate cave area. To get the spines necessary, you will have to hit the Hokers, make them shoot at you, then hit the blades they embedded in the walls, floors, and ceilings. Hitting these blades will cause them to drop a spine that you need to collect.

When you get 25 of these, go back to the Seamstress and give her the spines, which will then prompt her to weave you a special cape that allows you to traverse the winds you’ve encountered throughout the zone.

At this point, you need to return to the area where you first encountered the winds, utilizing your cape to help you reach the necessary points quicker. Once there, you will have to strike a series of orange, glowing orbs that shake and are barely releasing wind. Hit them once each and allow them to explode, which will release new winds that you have to traverse, or make entirely new ones.

Before reaching the very top, however, you’ll have to make a slight detour to the very right of the blocked ceiling to the Pilgrim’s Rest area. There, you’ll have to platform up the top-right and then go left to cause the massive platform to drop. Then, you need to climb it, head out of the area via the top-left exit, and hit another switch that’ll open the floor and allow you to travel between the two zones via winds.

After travelling up enough winds in succession, you will have been blown up the winds and through the roof of the Far Fields, entering the Greymoor area, the game’s next zone.
